  I was having some trouble with my dryer, and Darren was so helpful!! He fixed my problem easily, and he was able to work around my hectic school schedule to meet with me!

  I was impressed when I first moved in here. However, I have to unfortunately place my concerns out here. 1: The Bartram LOVES sending the most passive aggressive unprofessional emails I’ve ever seen from a residential management company. For example, one person trespassed in a construction zone - the entire complex knew; one person’s dog peed in an elevator - the entire complex knew; one person messed with their smoke detector - the entire complex knew; one person parked a non-EV car in an EV spot; the entire complex knew; one apartment throws a party - the entire complex knew… I could go on and on about the spam emails they inundate residents with. Moving forward they need to address issues with the problematic resident. Respectfully, I don’t need to hear management bi**hing about residents every week. My life is already stressful enough. For the love of all that is holy please stop using AI to generate these emails. While management’s intent may be well, several residents find these to be extremely distasteful and quite rude. 2: Going off my last point, communication seems to be a major issue. The Bartram only communicates when it serves its own needs. They do not communicate for the benefit of the residents. The construction, and yes I know they will say it’s completely out of their control, has been quite obnoxious. Yes, I understand a 20 year old building would need to undergo renovations. What I don’t understand is how residents were given a week notice about a small project turning the yoga deck into a fire pit into a full blown cite-wide construction derby. The timelines have been extremely unclear. First it was three months, then it was sometime during the summer, then it was August, and yet all the construction is still going on. Clear communication with residents as to the status, or at least posting them on the resident portal for residents to be informed would be nice. But again, they only communicate when it serves them. Further, several areas *cough cough* the clubhouse, were shut down. Weeks at a time went by with absolutely no work being done. Let’s now turn to the day where we had absolutely no water and no alternatives were provided. A short water cutoff repair was scheduled. This turned into an entire day of no water. Instead of acknowledging the severe impacts this had on residents, they blamed the third-party contractor. Clear communication with them as to the possibilities would have eliminated any confusion. Residents planned their day around the scheduled outage. No alternatives were provided to residents such as bottled waters. This would’ve been the bare minimum. Instead, they deflected responsibility. All in all, I believe the Bartram is a good place to live in Gainesville as a professional, but I hope management sees these concerns and addresses them appropriately. I will end this on a positive note: the apartments themselves are nice, the residents are friendly, and the amenities (when not shutdown due to the construction) are very nice as well. Beyond all the propped doors from construction, the apartment complex is very safe. This place is also extremely pet friendly and has several amenities for our furry friends.
