  The staff & maintenance have always been great, the location is literally the best, & the pool is fantastic.. the property is even undergoing revitalization.

  If I could give 0 stars I would. This apartment complex is a JOKE. You can show them proof of BLACK MOLD , you can put in as many maintenance requests as you want and they won’t actually fix the problem and if you think the office or even the regional managers would help you then you’re sadly mistaken. I reported a water leak MULTIPLE times in my bathroom that they failed to fix so then I hired a mold inspector and they found BLACK MOLD in my bedroom, kitchen, and high levels in my ac hvac system and managements response to that was downsize a family of 3 and animals into a one bedroom or leave and they refused to remediate the apartment. So if you happen to think of moving in there I wouldn’t, you can find better apartments and owners who actually care about their tenants and their health. They also leave rats in traps just outside in the grass along with trash everywhere. Edit: Management states a health department inspection occurred. I have checked public records and have found no evidence of such an inspection, and I was never contacted by the health department and also I would love to add that I’m not sure what promptly fixing things means in their terms but a water leak over the span of 10 months (June 2025 when it was reported) that was never properly fixed until April 2026 is absolutely ridiculous. When the leak was finally taken seriously they ripped out my bathroom wall without saying anything that lead into a neighbors bathroom and didn’t even have the material to fix it and tried to leave us with open access into the neighbors bathroom until I made multiple complaints and demanded the laws be met. There was no good faith in anything they have done it was pulling teeth to get anything credited. Also the BLACK MOLD was found AFTER they already did the bathroom work they claimed was finally fixed and no mold was found just water damage which conflicts with my experience and documentation. I have every email/documentation to prove what a terrible job they did with handling things and how I had to go through multiple people just to get some sort of help which wasn’t much help at the end of the day. That’s the truth on how they operate so move in at your own risk but with all the issues we’ve had I would never recommend it to anyone.

  If you’re looking to move into any apartment complex in fort Myers I highly recommend you stay FAR away from Forestwood. I moved in here on January 7th with the paint job incomplete, a broken refrigerator, my microwave couldn’t even open because of the fact the fridge was so close to it, my bathtub floor completely peeled up, and my washer was broken for months. This place is not only poorly ran but there is absolutely no care for residents. I work in healthcare and went to the office countless times to ask them about my washer being replaced and it started with Charisse telling me it would be fixed within a week but they could remove it from the unit and take $100 off rent but i said no because it would be only a week. But then after two weeks, nothing was done so I went back to the office and then Landon said it would be fixed within a month to which I asked him is there no way that this could be done sooner and he said he would check and get back to me. He never did get back to me and more time went on, so I went into the office yet again and just said I would just like the washer taken out because at this rate I’m paying for something that doesn’t even work. Charisse then told me that “we’re no longer doing that because we’re getting new washers in“ and that they would be put into the unit as soon as possible so stupidly, I believed her, and in case you were wondering, I never did get a new washer then upon me leaving my locks were changed and not only were my boyfriends (who was also living in the apartment complex) personal and valuable items get stolen that included, but are not limited to a safe including his birth certificate my birth certificate his Social Security card other very important documents, a 65 inch TV, PlayStation, colognes, shoes, and other countless valuable items stolen from inside his home. Then when I went into mine, I noticed that more stuff was missing. I spoke to Lydia, the property manager about it to which she told me that to the best of her knowledge nobody other than herself and the maintenance people had been inside the unit, and that would mean that somebody within the realm of those people who had access to my apartment stole everything. The gym has no AC and the vast majority of equipment is broken mind you they really didn’t have anything in the gym to begin with. My boyfriend had to tie the cable back together after it hit him in the face one day. The pool was closed because it did not meet health code standards and not to mention that for the few months I was living there the bathroom at the pool did not have any toilet paper or soap refilled in it the entire time. The stairs were dry rotting that led up to my apartment and in the backside of the complex is completely disgusting. The trash area is a mess with multiple families of raccoons, living back there the trash people had very strict rules on making sure the trash was in a trash bag in the garbage cans outside the apartment and I did that, and they never came and grabbed my trash. These people made my life an absolute living hell mainly because they could they don’t care about you. They don’t care about the complex they don’t care about bettering anything they are getting their money in and that is all they need out of everyone I dealt with in that complex, the Office staff mainly Charisse made not only my life, but everyone else around me‘s life horrible she acts nice to you in the beginning to rope you into signing a lease and then makes you regret it within the same month of doing it the only genuine people I ever dealt with were Lydia the property manager and the older maintenance worker (I unfortunately don’t know his name) everybody else is unprofessional, self centered, and has no respect for anybody seemingly including themselves like I said if you’re looking to move into any apartment complex in Fort Myers you’re better off choosing a cardboard box under a bridge the moving into the fountains at Forestwood.

  DO NOT MOVE HERE! maintenance workers stole very valuable items from me and I left immediately! My Rolex and Cartier watch were both stolen out the boxes and left the box. My 65 inch Roku TV, all designer colognes, Stolen designer sneakers all my Jordans, Stolen safe with my social security card and my birth certificate with my kids birth certificate. I also had my Playstation and Xbox stolen with other things, I never in my life would think this would happen to me until it did, irreplaceable items from people that passed away have been stolen. I don’t even know where to start with this Apartment Complex and I can speak this on everyone’s Behalf that is staying here, they absolutely do not care about there people and just the money. My apartment was falling apart and got lied to that i had a washer and dyer and did not have any My ceiling and shower was falling apart, my dishwasher and sink didn’t work, half the outlets in my apartment didn’t work, Rats and Roaches in the walls, absolutely terrible. They put bandages on everything on refuse to ever fix anything to save money until it’s falling apart and now they are trying to repaint the complex white to make it better for the new people moving in and not helping the people that live there. The gym is terrible and is falling apart and the cable smith machine is tied in a knot because it broke and has been that way for 2 years and it snapped and hit me in the face, there isn’t even a mirror or AC in the gym. The pool got shut down by the health department for a month for who knows why. There is poop everywhere in the grass and in the sidewalks and don’t refill any of the dog bags holders. I have heard from over 10 people that live in the complex how terrible it is and how nothing ever get fixed and I hope the people that are reading this know, it’s not too late to move before your items are stolen next. They will hit you with a bunch of different fees and $75 just for not having your trash bag in the container, it’s all about money for them that’s all they care about. My car also got hit in the parking lot and got totaled and nothing was done about it and my car is still sitting until this day. I could go on about this Apartment forever I moved and it was the best decision of my life and felt like a breath of fresh air. If you’re deciding on moving here don’t! And if you’re reading this and living there leave ASAP! They have over 50 apartments available for rent at anytime for a reason it’s a ghost town.All there good reviews are fake btw.

  If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I lived here for a little over 2 months and everyday seemed like hell. My apartment smelled like marijuana every single day and they did nothing about it. I left this place over 5 months ago. I’ve continue to reach out about my security deposit and they continue to ignore me about giving my money back. This place is very hood and if you don’t have to live here I would not recommend this place. Some of the good reviews are fake. Take this negative reviews seriously cause we have all dealt with this terrible place and it’s not fun.
