  OK, I have lived here for a year and a half now my apartment is gorgeous. Lots of space for less money than downtown. Staff is always on hand and available and the maintenance is amazing. My washer broke down. They came and looked at it right away and within 10 minutes, had the part and was able to replace it and I was doing laundry. I can’t even say that when I owned my home, the pool is gorgeous. Everything is well maintained they pressure wash constantly to keep things looking nice and fresh if you’re looking for a great place To live check it out!!

  I recently went through the process of transferring my lease from a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartment to a 1-bedroom/1-bathroom, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. Carla and Danny were incredibly helpful, patient, and supportive throughout the entire process. They made what could have been a stressful and complicated transition feel so much easier. They were always willing to answer my questions, explain the process, and help me every step of the way. Their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond really stood out to me. I would especially like management to know that Carla and Danny are doing an amazing job. Having staff members who genuinely care about helping residents makes such a difference. I truly appreciate everything they did to make my lease transfer as easy and stress-free as possible. Thank you, Carla and Danny, for all your help! You are both a huge asset to 81 West! ❤️

  First I would like to say the maintenance technicians here are very good about answering maintenance request quickly and thoroughly and they are both pleasant to work with, they keep up with all of the interior maintenance issues very well ! Carla the property manager is good at addressing most issues, however there are some long standing issues here that it seems can’t be addressed for whatever reason or reasons that might be! I think she could use some help from the owner, owners or property management group or both as I am sure she can only do so much herself as the property manager! Whoever reads this review help her in being able to address these issues, we would appreciate it! These are a few; Personally we picked this place approx two years ago because it was advertised as a “gated community” and backed up to a wildlife preserve all the way around, but unfortunately for whatever reason when we moved in two months after signing our lease, there were no longer any gates for vehicles or pedestrians and so that allows anyone who does not live here to freely come in at all hours of the day and night, whether it is by vehicle or walking in etc. which brings in people who do not live here that end up using the pool designated for residents only as well as taking up building parking spaces, if you get in here anytime after 4pm on any given day you may have to park far away from your building because parking spaces close to the buildings are all full! Also we have had solicitors knocking on our doors at any given hour and especially at night because the property is not gated to vehicles or pedestrians! People just freely drive, walk or even ride bikes right in because there are no gates any longer to stop them! The gate motors are in place as well as the fencing that goes around the property but the gates are not attached! Thats a real issue and should be addressed and put back up. There is also a small dog park but whoever takes their dog or dogs in there just lets their dog just poop without picking it up and there are two dog poop stations inside the dog park but for some reason dog owners still leave the dog poop all over the dog park making it a place you do not want to take yourself or your dog or dogs! There are several of these dog stations all over the community with poop bags at all times but for some reason people still let their dog or dogs poop and just leave it not only in the grass and flower beds but even right on the sidewalks! This is an issue that needs to be addressed! Also the hallways, stairs and walls in the buildings are always extremely dirty, I think in the two years we have been here our building has only been pressure sprayed twice, maybe three times, it needs to be done at least once a month or even once every three months to keep the hallway's, stairs and walls clean! If the property was to be walked and inspected these issues would be highly visible!

  I loved it here, super nice place, staff and maintenance were great. Awesome pool and good workout area. Only moved out because I needed a 3rd bedroom based on life situation and they had none available. Would definitely recommend!!!!

  I didn’t feel welcomed during my tour with Carla, but my experience with Danny was completely different he made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. During my interaction with Carla, I felt as though she did not want me to move into the community. The way she treated me compared to individuals of her own skin color felt noticeably different and concerning. Her behavior came across as dismissive and unprofessional, and I believe the situation should be looked into further.
