This place started off great until a year into the lease, where I spent the last year of my lease dealing with an ongoing mold issue in the apartment. Humidity levels have sustained an all time over 70 majority of the time, I have submitted over 20 requests to resolve the issue and now a lot of my personal property has been damaged beyond repair such as sofa, clothes, shoes. Maintenance tries to say that 70 is normal in Florida I am exaggerating. Not to mention the high humidity led to mold which lead to difficulty breathing and living in this complex. Management and maintenance was great 2 years but now, what a joke paying luxury price of close to 2k for a poorly sustained complex. High expectations turned to regret Maintenance will try to claim that the issue is resolved but every day when I check, the humidity levels stay above 70. “Addressed” the issue but no fix.

Drift Luxury Apartment Homes has several issues which need to be considered before potencial tenants consider to proceed with. Intermediary internet provider Single Digits is not reliable if you work online. Spectrum seems not to honor the requests from Single Digits in timely manner. Also, it will be difficult to claim reimbursement for service failures as the service is billed as a part of the package. Water bill calculation is another issue, the water meters are installed but not used, instead tenants are billed according to some formula and you pay for all extra usage across the community such usage as guest, visitor and aliens who live in Drift without legal registration. During weekend the grill and pool community areas are overcrowded by visitors. Tenants constantly express concerns regarding this issue. A year ago office has been open during weekends and situation was better and easier to deal with. Lately, office hours have been adjusted: shorter working hours and closed on weekends. Hopefully, it helps you to make wise decisions while considering Drift Luxury Apartment Homes.

I left a review a couple of months ago saying Drift Apartments was great, but unfortunately, I have to take back my previous opinion. Recently, living here has felt like a horror movie. The Wi-Fi has been out since Friday and still has not been restored. Maintenance is often unwilling to properly address residents’ concerns, and the staff’s attitudes and communication need serious improvement. On one occasion, my toilet was having problems with its water pressure. When Mr. Tim arrived, I explained the issue, but he flushed the toilet and sarcastically told me that it flushed. I explained that flushing was not the problem. After removing the tank lid, he finally noticed the issue. He worked on it for about five minutes and then said he had only “partially fixed” it until Monday. Since it was Friday and we have two bathrooms, he told us to simply use the other toilet. My fiancé was on the phone with me and tried to speak with him about the situation. Instead of communicating professionally, Mr. Tim began yelling and screaming at me. The issue could have been handled calmly and professionally. There was also a time when my fiancé and I were locked out of our apartment for three hours because our keypad died. The maintenance worker repeatedly told us he would arrive within 30 minutes, but each time 30 minutes passed, he still was not there. This continued until my fiancé called him, and he finally explained that his mother needed him. We would have understood if he had communicated that with us from the beginning instead of repeatedly saying he was on the way. This is another example of the poor communication here. Trash collection is also unreliable. The trash workers are rarely on time, they damage residents’ trash cans, and they leave trash and residue on the ground instead of cleaning it up properly. There are also serious concerns involving residents’ mail. My mail has been opened, and other residents have reported that their mail was stolen. When I asked management to review the security-camera footage, I was told no. However, another resident was reportedly allowed to view footage when their clothes were stolen. This makes it appear that certain residents receive preferential treatment. We were also not properly informed that our rent would increase, and we could not find anything in our lease explaining the increase. We experienced several problems when trying to renew our lease as well. Once again, the lack of clear and consistent communication made an already stressful situation even more difficult. The customer service, communication, maintenance response, trash collection, security concerns, lease-renewal process, unexpected rent increase, and apparent favoritism have made my experience here extremely disappointing. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. I am ready to get out of our lease, and I no longer recommend Drift Apartments.

I don't write negative reviews often, but I am looking forward to my lease ending. First and foremost, maintenance is not the issue. They always complete my orders right away and are polite. I think this property has a contracting issue. Residents pay $150 a month for what they say is "tech and convenience" bundle, but it's anything but that. It would be one thing if this was voluntarily, but it's mandatory. TRASH: never gets picked up at 7 as stated when you first move in, sometimes not at all. Trash just sits in the hallways. One dumpster at front of complex that is always overfilled. WIFI: I WFH and have had issues ever since I moved in with wifi connection. We're experiencing an outage as I write this for 4 days. No accommodations, no regard for people's work. CALL BOX: Never works, gates are always broken. I could go on, but just a few of the items included in your "tech and convenience package" (that all happen to not work, yet you still pay for). Honorable mentions that we're never addressed: apartment was disgusting when I moved in (again, contracting cleaner issue), cracked walls (yes, a crack running down my first floor apartment wall), poor email communications, lack of events (don't let them sell you on community events), expect an overpriced AI food truck maybe once a week. Water shutoffs, community codes not working to your "amenities", complimentary card for beer/wine (you can just throw that away, it's never working.) "Quiet rooms/offices" have a pool speaker right outside of them, don't expect to be able to concentrate there. Positive reviews are incentivized for giveaways and move ins, consumer beware. Sign a shorter lease, don't sign a long one just for two free months.

So far, the experience at Drift has been disappointing. Denise is pleasant to work with and the maintenance team does a good job, but there are some issues seriously ruining the experience. First, the main problem is the horrible internet. You don’t have a choice in provider, and have to use the apartment managed network. It constantly goes out and was recently down for almost 4 days straight. The company Single Digits provides practically no help on the phone either. It will especially be a liability if you work from home. Drift also tries to avoid responsibility and claim it’s outside of their control, but in that case they should allow residents to choose their own provider. If you are going to force residents to use apartment managed wifi, then it needs to work. At the very least, a credit should be given for these extended outages. Second, the guests and noise levels, especially around the pool, are a constant issue. At this point, there probably should be a strict rule about no guests at the pool, since people appear to constantly abuse the “2 guest limit”. Large families will drive into the complex, park in resident parking spaces, and throw parties at the pool area. These gatherings will often get very loud with shouting and obscene music late into the night. The pool and amenities should be for residents who pay for it. Lastly, the electronic lock system is very bad. You will get locked out of your apartment entirely if the battery dies, and the lock is constantly in a state of “jammed”. We really hope these issues will be addressed eventually, as they seriously ruin the experience.
