  As a Realtor, this experience is an example on why units go unrented. I visited this location twice today. I have a client moving in from out of state and this community was on the list to visit. It advertises self tours. However, the codes don't work and the young lady at the desk was less than enthusiastic about helping me gain access. With all the communities in this area, you would think that they would welcome someone who has ready and willing renter. Definitely not the case and I will not be referring this community to any future clients.

  I lived there for over three years from practically the opening of the complex. The staff that was originally there was great for the most part. But that's the thing, the staff that were there originally. The current property manager, Denise, has one of the worst attitudes I have dealt with from someone in customer service if you come to her with anything of a complaint/frustration. From sighing on the phone when you are asking about things to not willing to help you with stuff when the internet was out about your lease. The residents were sent an email that just said to use your phone hotspot (that you would have to pay for) but when I asked her to look something up for me she wouldn't use hers, and wouldn't even look it up after I offered for them to use mine since she said "I am not paying for that". Then one of the maintenance workers has a confederate flag license plate on the front of his truck, after my displeasure being brought up to the front office all they did was have him park facing the other way. I don't quite understand how you can let one of your employees blatantly display a symbol of racism to the community especially when it is the same person that is supposed to be entering your home when a repair is needed. Then there is the issue of internet. What all the other negative reviews have said is true, you are locked to a sole provider that constantly has outages that can last from hours to days. No information is offered when you try to look in to it, so you are just "stuck on an island" until it comes back. Then when it comes to move out they will charge you for every little thing that they could think of to nickel and dime you. I got charged $50 for "evidence of pets" because some fluff balls were left behind even though I paid $300 and $30/month for each of my dogs. Like yeah, there was evidence of pets I had two dogs that I paid to live with me. They will also charge you for light bulbs that went out even though they would have just replaced them for free if I put in a maintenance request (I didn't because we were moving out soon so it didn't seem important enough to have to deal with) like why am I being charged for something that I wasn't responsible for in the first place? The dog park is also poorly maintained. The poop bags are constantly empty, cobwebs and bugs stuck to the walls, a broken fake fire hydrant that has been there for over a year, broke tree accent lights that just lay on the floor, the list goes on. Parking is also an issue. Don't get home past like 9-10pm or else you will have to have a hike back to your apartment due to the lack of spaces. With the apparent boom in apartment complexes around the Daytona Beach area I highly recommend living somewhere else. If you are choosing the Drift for the location next to the hospital choose the Napier that is right across the street (I lived there for 2 years prior to the Drift). It has much better amenities and enjoyed my time there much more.

  went into the leasing office to get information about the property….lease manager denise was very nice and pleasant answered all question i need to know about the property and broke down step by step on things i need to do the application..and she gave a tour of the property..place is very nice and well kept…clean environment…

  This is a terrible place to live they are perfectly fine with crack heads sleeping in the complex next to your cars and do nothing about it. Along with the apartments being full of bugs and smelling like constant weed and much more this is the farthest from professional property in town and that’s saying something being in Daytona beach I would rather live off mason in a box before recommending anyone to live here even if it were 3 years free rent I would highly advise you never reside here along with MIYAS law in affect they are pretty insane with how they act I would highly recommend staying far away from this place.

  I asked who managed the community and was told Denise. I feel like managers sometimes don’t get enough recognition because so much of what they do happens behind the scenes, so I wanted to make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. Denise runs a beautiful community, and I know keeping everything running smoothly is no easy task. You can tell that a lot of care, effort, and attention goes into maintaining the property and creating a great environment for residents. Denise and her team have done an incredible job. She’s one of the best in Daytona! Thank you, Denise, for everything you do behind the scenes to make this such a wonderful community.
