My husband and I stayed here for two nights.
We rented a one bedroom apartment but the place is mostly for long term rentals, as I understand.
Checking in was easy, the and the accommodations were clean.
Elevators are quick and there are several.
The best part of this place is its proximity to the National Mall.
It is walkable, if you like to walk.
The White House is right across the street, for the most part, and the walk to the Washington Monument is only about 20 minutes.
There is a Cheesecake Factory on the same block. Old Ebbitt Grill is a 5 minute walk and the Hamilton is just down from there. Also, The Warner Theater is just a 10 minute jaunt.
There is a parking garage on H street just a few steps across the street from the building that was reasonably priced. I think we paid less than $50 for two nights.
Other things of note, there is a coffee shop next door and a wawa can be found a block or so away.
We go to DC for music a lot and normally stay at the Watergate but this place is way closer to the venues we go to and more affordable (though the amenities are far less).
My 4 star rating is more because the apartment needed several items that would normally be provided, but that has to do with the company who rented it, not the facility as a whole.
There is a gym in the building but no pool.

This is now my fourth consecutive lease at the Woodward because this building is my downtown DC home. When I first arrived to the Woodward I chose a one bedroom apartment with a den and after three years living here I recently upgraded to a two bedroom, two bath apartment with additional garage storage.
The building is luxurious. I feel it every time I or one of my guest's enter the environment. Soft classical music plays in the building foyer, with sumptuous welcoming rugs and surrounded by pristine embellishments. A friendly consierge greets me when I arrive home. He or she signs for my Amazon packages during the day while I am at the office. I drop off my FedEx returns and my dry cleaning bag with them and start my day. Early mornings I can smell the coffee brewing in the attached coffee shop after I finish working out in the Woodward gym on the second floor. My groceries are hand delivered to the consierge and I gather them when I arrive back home at 6pm. With my recent upgrade, the management office allowed me to have my departing apt keys and my new apt keys simultaneously. That made my move so much easier and stress-free and was so greatly appreciated. They treat me like family.
The building has an online residents portal so if I have any maintenance issues, the dedicated staff resolves my requests in a timely manner. I also sincerely appreciate that this is a smoke-free building. So I never have to deal with marijuana stench when I pass by my neighbors doors. There is a garbage chute at the end of my floor hall, a service elevator for deliveries and underground parking for vehicles (additional charge) and tenant's bicycles. The location is ideal, with many neighborhood businesses a block away. The views from the rooftop lounge are stunning. You can touch the fireworks on NYEve and July 4th. The Woodward is also extremely convenient for Metro access (McPherson Square) as DC has an amazing solution for those of us who like the city lifestyle without the need for vehicle ownership. So treat yourself...life is too short. Invest in a luxury building lifestyle at the Woodward Building, the best apartment home available in downtown DC.

It's nice little apartment for a single person or a couple. Full kitchen and washer & dryer. My only real complaint is the water temperature maybe barely reached 100F in the shower, and I would bet a bit less than that.
