Overall Quebec house is really nice. Not sure why people are complaining about pests I’ve never ever had an issue with that. With that being said, I do live on a higher floor which helps a ton (I’d recommend this). One major problem is that the amenities advertised like the sauna and hot tub don’t work. Beware of the sauna because someone has been using it as a same-sex hookup spot which is completely disgusting (they wrote on the wall advertising their “type”🤢🤮). Don’t use it. Put in a request for it to be cleaned which never happened. With that being said I wouldn’t wanna clean that either😂😂. I’d probably lean closer to a two or three star if it weren’t for the amazing staff. They make sure to help, they get to know you personally, and are just overall very professional. Justin and Tay are both stand up guys- Justin even gave me some ties out of his personal collection when I told him I needed one. Margaret is also a great woman who lives here with us and advocates for issues to be dealt with. If they can fix the spa issues and get rid of that smell in the ground floor this would be a five star place, hands down. If you live here, live on a higher floor and create relationships with management and you’ll have a great experience.

Some of the recent five-star ratings probably are real, but they’re definitely not reflective of the majority of residents and a lot of them are fake. (Check the review histories! Some of them have reviewed an awful lot of apartment buildings in several different places in just a few months… just saying.) I reported mold and plaster damage in my apartment almost a year ago that no one has bothered to even look at, let alone fix. The concierge staff really are great, but I can’t wait to leave this place.

This is my second time living in this building. I never had a complaint except for the “DC Law” on A/C and heating system switch. The leasing agents are great. I had my first moving experience with Maggie (she is awesome) she was very helpful and kind. This time I had Maria. She is an excellent leasing agent. Maria was very accommodating with my moving date. She was also very patient with my nephew when he decided to move in to the building too. Maria has been my go-to-person when I have a concern. Both buildings are well kept and the maintenance team is very efficient too. The front desk employees are kind and get to know everyone in the building. I’m also grateful that there are certain requirements to live in the building

I have been living at the Quebec House ever since I’ve gotten to D.C. for law school and it has been nothing short of a blessing. Spacious studio with a separate kitchen, great amenities (two gyms, laundry, etc.) and genuine people. I love this peace!

I recently toured Quebec House as I used to know someone that lived there and loved their studio and location. However, when I toured, staff was rude and turned me off from the place. First, the concierge acknowledged the man behind me before asking if he could help me. Then, the tour guide Maria at first seemed rude when I noted a summer move in date and repeatedly told me I was looking too early. Throughout the tour, she asked very nosy questions about my family and their salary history when I was simply trying to do the math on co-signer and guarantor income requirements. She then told me that I "shouldn't be worried" and gave me unwarranted advice, saying my dad "should spoil" me and cosign because I am the only daughter, but that it's sometimes good to not be spoiled. In the basement, the package lady was banging on the Amazon lockers with a metal hammer in the middle of the tour. Additionally, the rooms were hot due to the DC law of central heat and AC and whatever not being changed until May. When I went into the leasing office, I noted that it was cool in there, and she said, "Well, WE get AC in here," in a very braggy way. Now I'm seeing reviews of rats ... I'm sorry, but this place really has some audacity requiring a guarantor to make 5.25x the rent when they have rats, no AC, and unprofessional staff. Thank you, next!
