  First of all, I saw that the website was offering a month off of rent for studio apartments. So, I scheduled a tour. When I arrived, one of the leasing staff told me that the website information was wrong and the deal was no longer being offered for studio units but they were offering a deal for 1bds. On the tour, I was told of a required 70/month internet fee that was not listed amongst the website’s list of transparent fees and costs associated with living in the apartment. This was all very frustrating considering that I made the decision to schedule a tour from what I observed online. Now, I just moved into a unit less than a week ago and I have spotted 4 German cockroaches in the kitchen and bedroom. I let the leasing office know on Monday and pest control came to my apartment on Thursday. The only thing I noticed that pest control did was place a glue trap next to my refrigerator 🙃. I woke up the next morning to find a live roach stuck to the inside of the trap. Later that evening, I saw another crawling on the walls of my bedroom. The location surrounding this building also has a serious rodent problem. My friends and I have seen three in the past two days. Lord knows what’s going to happen in the winter time. The lobby smells pleasant but the hallways on the higher floors smell of cigarette smoke. This smell has leaked into my apartment and I have two air filtration devices running at all hours to maintain fresh air in my unit. I will also note that utilities here are more expensive than my last apartment in NoMa despite usage remaining the same, and my presence there when costs were rising in the district as a whole. I feel disappointed in my experience so far because I moved here as a cost saving measure given the two months off of rent deal. It seems like all the utilities costs + pest control that I have to take into my own hands are an additional burden that would have been mitigated had I chosen to live at a nicer building. Renters should be aware.

  Courtney was a joy to tour with, very personable and down to earth. The tour was quick and efficient and showed the the most asked about things first and then worked our way down the list.

  All I can say is COURTNEY was amazing throughout my whole process she answered everything I was greeted the first time walking in the building. She is so professional and knows the property hands down her tour was so fun and I was so excited to move in PLEASE ASK FOR COURTNEY FOR TOURING AND CHOOSE FORT TOTTEN SQUARE & USE ME AS A REFERRAL (AUTUM) THANKS AGAIN COURTNEY !!!!

  We had the pleasure of partnering with Fort Totten Square for the grand re-opening of their newly renovated amenity spaces, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Lisa, Kristen, and the entire team were wonderful to work with and truly cared about creating a memorable experience for their residents.
