  This is my third apartment I have rented in DC. By far the absolute worst. We have lost our AC at least 8-10 times while living here. The hot water has been shut off for “repairs” at least a dozen times. And the elevator repairs are constant and unreliable. Of the 4 elevators in the building, you’ll be lucky to have one working. The building has been “repairing the elevator” for MONTHS. It is extremely mismanaged. People smoke in the building, nobody puts their trash down the trash chutes and instead leave it on the floor. Dogs pee and sh!t in the hallways and it gets thrown down the recycling chute. You’ll definitely find cockroaches in the building. A lot of the balcony’s are distrusting. The police are here all the time. Do. Not. Apply. Look literally anywhere else.

  I toured the building even after reading some of the reviews as the special is right in my budget . Staff in office is new but very politely ; and helpful . Also had answers to all my questions . Was pleasantly suprised by the apartment, it was BEAUTIFUL. And the roof top I can see myself working form there often.

  1st day in the unit. Groceries got stolen from the front desk. The concierge and security told me themselves “that’s what happens here.” One star is too much. The toilet paper on the picture was here when we got in. There’s cockroaches.

  I lived at 2 M Street NE Apartments for three years. After the property changed ownership, the quality of management declined badly. Between late 2024 and 2025, I experienced harassment, retaliation, and unfair treatment after reporting a leasing manager’s unprofessional behavior. I was allegedly assaulted by a security staff member, locked out of the garage despite paying my parking fees in full, and continuously targeted by management. The building also had serious safety issues, including gunshots fired near my apartment door and another shooting incident on the property, which made me feel unsafe and unsupported. I will not refer anybody to 2 M, not even my enemy
