I rarely leave negative reviews, but after repeatedly trying to resolve concerns with management, I feel it’s important to share my experience at Ten Trumbull.
My biggest concern has been management’s handling of resident issues. In my interactions with property manager Marisa Mason, I have often felt dismissed rather than helped. During one conversation, I was told, “If you don’t like it, you should get out.” On another occasion, when discussing an ongoing neighbor issue, the response was, “What do you want me to do about it?” These interactions left me feeling that resident concerns were not taken seriously. Rachel, a staff member, has repeatedly hung up the phone when asked for updates and simple information.
I have also experienced what I believe to be inconsistent enforcement of community rules. Based on situations I personally observed, some residents appeared to receive different treatment than others based on ethnic background. Greater consistency and transparency would help build trust.
Safety and security have also been frustrating. The front entrance gate remained broken for half a year now despite the property being advertised as gated. During that time, I observed drug dealing activity entering the property and activity that made me uncomfortable.
Landscaping is a mess and disorganized. The new company they hired has been coming almost everyday and starting before 8am when everyone is sleeping. I have watched the workers cut the same exact bushes twice , two days in a row. Also witnessed a worker peeing between parked cars. They do not care about residents right to peace and enjoyment.
Communication has been another recurring problem. A scheduled fire inspection did not occur as announced, and residents did not receive an explanation until days later. There have also been repeated fire alarms associated with smoking in stairwells. When I contacted the front desk about one incident, my call with Rachel ended abruptly while I was trying to discuss the concern.
Another concerning experience involved a dog that lunged toward us in a common area. I reported it because I considered it a potential safety issue, but I did not receive the level of follow-up I expected.
Deliveries have also been left unattended near the entrance without residents being notified, creating an unnecessary risk of items being lost or taken.
Getting responses about ongoing issues has been difficult as well. We have been trying to resolve one matter since January and sent multiple emails over several weeks without receiving a response. When I called, I was told the property manager was on leave and staff could not say when she would return. Meanwhile, I noticed management continuing to respond to Google reviews, which made the lack of communication regarding our issue particularly frustrating.
I hope the corporate office reviews how this property handles communication, resident concerns, security, and rule enforcement. Ten Trumbull has the potential to be a great community, but my experience with management has overshadowed the positives.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Ten Trumbull. Prospective residents should ask detailed questions about management responsiveness, security, and how complaints are handled before deciding to rent here.

Not good experience living here. Gates broken many months and my car wheel got damage from vandalism. Marisa no respond emails, almost never in office. Grills are locked so cannot use like advertised. Not sure what happened with management care, before was better. Very disappointed, don’t recommend.
My husband and I have resided at 10 Trumbull for over 4 years, and couldn’t be happier. He regularly works out at the gym, and we enjoy sharing pool time with our granddaughters whenever we can. The maintenance and support staff have been both professional and prompt whenever there has been any sort of maintenance issue. Marissa and the team at the leasing office have been kind and supportive through out our time here. I would recommend to both friends and family to join us here at 10 Trumbull if they are in need of a short or long term lease.
The condominium management has been neglecting the property's cleanliness and security, cutting costs by putting locks on everything and using extremely poor-quality services. The entrance turnstiles have been broken for months, allowing vandals to enter the property and break into residents' cars to steal anything of value inside

I had a great experience living at Ten Trumbull. The leasing staff were responsive, thoughtful, and willing to work with residents when flexibility was needed. Any repair requests, which were rare, were handled quickly.
I also enjoyed the gym and community events, and my children loved the clubhouse. I lived at Ten Trumbull during a major transition in my life, and having a warm, comfortable place to call home made that period much easier. I’m grateful for my time there and would gladly recommend the community.
