Fabulous place to live!!
My husband and I moved back to CT after a 20-year sojourn in the Southwest (NM and Austin, TX), and we were lucky enough to land at Highcroft. Manager Caroline is EXTRAORDINARY-- she helped me do all the heavy lifting to rent a unit while we were still in Austin (so that we'd have a place to call home when we got here!), and she made a complex process clear and straightforward. Also, she was so patient with me and my millions of questions. She truly held my hand and made me feel so taken care of, even before we got back to CT!
And then when we arrived (after a very long drive with a dog and a cat, through some nasty weather), the townhome itself exceeded every expectation. We were THRILLED. It was spotless, for starters, and beautiful, with a gorgeous setting. We settled in quickly and couldn't have felt more comfortable. These homes are built well and thoughtfully, the community amenities are terrific, and on the rare occasion I needed to call maintenance, they were at my door astonishingly fast-- even when it was not an emergency! Shout-out to Superhero Jon who handles a million moving pieces with ease and expertise every single day!.
We ended up living at Highcroft for nearly a year-and-half, and only moved out recently b/c we bought a house. (If we could have bought a Highcroft townhouse, we likely would have!) The Northeast's housing market was decidedly a sellers' market (truly bonkers! Stuff going for $100K over asking, all inspections waived...eek!), and even though house-hunting was frustrating in that regard for us (we weren't doing the bonkers stuff, haha), we both felt grateful that Highcroft was our home for as long as we needed it, b/c the community is so well run, the leasing office and maintenance staff so responsive, the home so pretty and quiet and comfortable, that we knew we could wait out the bananas real estate market as long as we needed to, and not feel dejected in the process.
If you're on the fence about this place, you can get off now and jump in... you won't be disappointed! My highest recommendation!
