When you drive up the long driveway to the apartment building, you feel as though you're entering a secluded nature preserve. The parking lot behind the building is surrounded by trees and wildlife, and the pond in front of the building with the water fountain is a beautiful and relaxing amenity. Laurie, the leasing/property manager, and Nene, who is in charge of maintenance for the property, do a wonderful job making sure issues are addressed promptly and things run smoothly. The building itself is old and some of the renovations were hastily completed; however, Laurie and Nene promptly addressed any maintenance issues or concerns that I had. Important to note here is that the renovations were completed before Laurie and Nene took over the care of the property. I would definitely consider returning to Whitewood if I moved back to Connecticut.

We’ve had a great experience living in this apartment community, and a big reason is the amazing team here.
Laurie from management truly stands out. She is always approachable, understanding, and incredibly responsive. Whenever we’ve had an issue or concern, her quick response and willingness to help made a huge difference. It’s comforting to know there’s someone reliable who genuinely cares about residents.
A special shout-out to Nene from the maintenance team — he is honestly a lifesaver. He’s always available, quick to respond, and does his work with so much sincerity. On top of being highly skilled, he’s a genuinely good person, which makes interactions so pleasant and stress-free.
Having such supportive management and maintenance makes this place feel like home. Highly appreciate and recommend this community!

They just are not interested to show any apartments. After numerous calls and emails, they just respond with one word and clearly not interested to rent out any units. The hallways smell like garbage.
Edit: replying to the owner here. Your office is always closed. I visited three times and everytime I was asked to come next day or some other day by an employee in the parking lot. The phone number pasted on the door doesn’t work. The guy over the email responds with one word replies after two days. Clearly shows how good your customer service is. And if you don’t have any units available, you shouldn’t have posted in online platforms that you have available units. What I’m complaining is being asked to come the next day and then the staff not showing up. This happened two times already.

New management are doing great. I know sometimes with a transition it could be hard at first but with everything going on they are fixing what was unfixed. They are being better with communication and are handling things as should. Work orders are handled quickly and we love the work being done in the property. I met with the new Property Manager and he is a sweet young man and cares, it sucks that he is not always there but when he is, he tries his best to make sure all our questions are answered.
They are doing lots of updates- pavement looks great, the exterior and interior of buildings are being painted. I know that ones things set in with the new ownership that came in everything will be much better than prior owners.
