  Blueway commons advertises that it is a luxury rental community, pure nonsense. The most recent snow falls, 50+ inches was a disaster. The place was like a glacier for a week and told tenants to shovel their own cars out. The property sits between 2 super fund pollution sites. The construction is the cheapest materials. If you live street level and you have neighbors above your unit, you will hear every word they say, every step they take, there is no noise abatement material in the structure, I could hear my neighbors cat walking around. The appliances are the lowest end GE sells. It is a septic tank property and the septic system backed up into the units and the property manager told you via email if you had a damage call your insurance company. The carpets in the bedrooms is the cheapest carpet and begins to shag as soon as you vacuum it. Over all a miserable place to live a 2 bedroom unit will run you 3k a month, your electric bill will be 500 a month in winter, the water heater is electric and it is in a closet outside on your patio and runs non-stop. My bill for January is 505 dollars for one person. My neighbors that have more than one tenant are spending double that on electricity. There is no cell tower near here and your cell will get no service outside of your unit. You have to use internet calling which is not reliable. When you lose power, which is frequently, you have no internet and no cell service at all. The only thing that is luxury is the price and they have granite counter tops. This community is grossly misrepresented. The adjacent property on the shared road in here is about to have 28 rental units built on it and a daycare center to accommodate 100 children. They break ground in 2026 and the project will take 2 years. That is 2 years of heavy equipment and building sounds 9 hours a day beginning at 7 am. There is no major grocery store for 20 miles you have to go to Old Saybrook or Middletown. When you move out she will nickel and dime you for fake damages and keep your security deposit

  My fiancé and I absolutely love living at Blueway Commons! Our apartment was well designed and constructed, and perfectly fits our needs and those of our two dogs. The common areas such as the clubhouse, shared patios & grills, gym, dog park, and grounds are diligently maintained which has not been our experience at previous residencies in the area. Michelle, the Community Manager, has been extremely welcoming and helpful since our first day, and she always receives us with a smile and friendly attitude. In addition, Michelle fosters a strong sense of community at Blueway Commons by scheduling fun and interactive activities each month such as “Wine & Paint” nights, visiting food truck events, and even a very enjoyable Christmas Party with live music for all residents to attend! We genuinely appreciate her willingness to assist us when the need arises, and all the efforts she makes in bringing our small community together. Although maintenance issues have been a rarity here for us, it is also worth mentioning that the maintenance man, Tomás, is very knowledgeable and always addresses our requests in a fast and timely manner. Like all of the staff at Blueway Commons, Tomás works hard to ensure a desirable living experience for all residents here which is greatly appreciated. Overall, we could not be happier here at Blueway Commons and that is largely due to the amazing staff! Of course we love our apartment, the facilities, and amenities such as the pool table and coffee which are always available at the clubhouse, but it has been the dedication and friendliness of the Blueway Commons team that has truly made this such a wonderful place to live.

  The complex is a small community, well-kept and new. It’s peaceful, safe and pet friendly. Walking distance to local restaurants and a short drive to the Goodspeed. Easy commute to Hartford in about 33 minutes. Community events include a book club. And frequent social gatherings. If you’re looking for a new, peaceful easy living this is a good place to land

  The management team and the maintenance team is fantastic! They are here full time and very helpful. The grounds are well kept and lovely the clubhouse is clean and a nice place to read and relax. Lots of outdoor seating areas in the nicer weather to relax and sip on a cup of coffee. It’s a lovely place to call home!
