  Potentially could be a good first apartment for somebody but if possible, seek elsewhere. My husband and I lived here 4 years. Our rent was initially $1175 and on the last year, was going to be $1695. For a 1 bedroom apartment and no added features or repairs. All they’ve done to “improve” the property is paint, and repetitively fix the laundry room (which is concerning why it has to be redone almost every other year). They’re awful with notices. Last summer they were doing new paint around the outside of the building and gave us 24 hours to remove any window units or patio stuff. Was only for the next day only. That day comes and goes so almost everybody puts their AC’s back in since this was during that stretch of summer where it was brutally hot. Next day we got ANOTHER 24 hour notice to remove window units. We complained and so did a few others. The contractors did a horrible job as well and left all their water bottles and trash around the property. We got a notice to have somebody home for an energy audit. We weren’t able to reschedule it to a day one of us is off work so one of us took the day off. Guess who never showed up? The auditor. Lost a day of work for nothing. Recently they had foundation contractors out without notifying us that were banging the floors up to fix the foundation. We came home to our dogs trembling, panting and had pissed due to the intense vibrations and noise. Had we had notice we would’ve moved them to my family members home for the day. We ended up moving out 3 weeks early since the foundation “repair” busted our back sliding door that we use to take our dogs out to potty. We had to use the front door which would’ve been fine but we try to avoid it since our neighbor thinks rules are optional and doesn’t leash his dogs. They are not friendly. They’ve gone after other neighbors and dogs and one day actually charged at me while I was carrying a car seat with our son inside. Despite telling the office, they didn’t seem to care that the door is busted. I’ve addressed the neighbor before since he’s a sad, miserable person. He actually yelled at my husband to shut up while we were moving. It was literally 3pm. He’s yelled at my husband before for answering his phone while walking down to the parking lot. Also during normal hours. I feel really bad for whoever gets unit 2 due to that neighbor. So beware all! His lovely incense will give you a headache for days!

  Everyone at this company was extremely helpful and kind, it was an excellent experience. They made something stressful into something easy !

  Living in the Pinney Brook Apartments has been simply amazing. The community of Ellington is fantastic and I will always call Ellington my home. The property here has always been well maintained and I have always had a good experience working with the property managers. THANK YOU PINNEY BROOK!!!
