  I love my apartment here. I had a family emergency and the staff were so considerate. They gave me grace in my time of absolute need. So professional so clean so nicely kept. I recommend 10/10

  Management’s handling of snow removal and assigned parking on January 29, 2026, was unprofessional and poorly coordinated. Their prior email stated that “no action is needed unless you are contacted directly” and advised leaving extra space near snowbanks “when possible,” which I followed. I received a call at 11:30 AM threatening immediate towing from my paid, assigned parking space and stating that I would have to bear the towing cost if the vehicle was not moved. I returned the call at 11:43 AM and 11:49 AM, explaining I could not leave work immediately and would move the vehicle during my lunch break at 12:15 PM. Management responded that if the vehicle was not moved by 12:15 PM, it would be towed, showing a failure to account for realistic travel time and work schedules. It appears that if I had missed their call, towing would have been enforced immediately, despite following prior guidance. Snow removal itself is reasonable. My issue is with management’s poor planning, arbitrary enforcement, and lack of practical consideration, expecting tenants to rearrange work obligations on short notice for paid parking. Clear, consistent procedures and reasonable communication are needed to prevent unnecessary stress and disruption.

  We have lived at Tellus Bloom since September 2024 as part of our downsizing strategy as we build a retirement house. We love it here. Our 2 BR unit has a great layout and a lovely view of the courtyard and pool. All units have a washer/dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. Some units have balconies, but not all of them. Ample parking is available - you can have a reserved spot for $50 a month per car, but plenty of parking is free (you just have to walk 500 yards further). The amenities are great - gym, business center, common room, grills, pool and outdoor gathering space. It is also walkable to the downtown area which includes the PO, town hall, CVS, Walgreens, Dunkin’, some nice restaurants like RePublic and Ikoi, a few hair/nail salons, etc. While my husband and I would be considered “older” tenants, we hang out and socialize with all the younger folks and have a grand time. I would say the average age is around 30, but residents range in age from 23-65+ (and we aren’t 65+ yet). We love the diversity here - we’ve met people from India, Germany, Finland, Mexico, and Tunisia along with Americans. Tellus Bloom is just a fun melting pot of personalities. Currently, there are not many children living here which may change over time. The staff, Sierra and Katie, are super friendly and very helpful. They’ve been instrumental in coordinating fun, social activities! We have regularly participated in s’mores, sip and paint, cookie decorating, and hanging ornaments on the tree parties. A small group of us have an occasional Sunday afternoon potluck. I’ve even taken some residents out to teach them how to play pickleball. I believe the rent is much more reasonable than other competitive luxury apartments and certainly beats anything in West Hartford (only 10 mins away). We looked at 5+ places when deciding and felt Tellus Bloom provided the best value for our dollar! Tellus Bloom has studios, 1 BRs, 2BRs and a few 3BRs. The studios start at $1800 and prices increase thereafter for larger units. If I could take a 1/4 star off, I would deduct for the oversight in the gym. The equipment choice is great but….mgt has been very slow at meeting tenant requests. It took 3 months to get mirrors put up that were actually useful. The gym needs a clock, the exercise balls need more air, the wipes dispenser was empty for several days, and the echelon equipment sporadically won’t work. A request for intermediate dumbbells (12.5, 17.5, 22.5, 27.5) to better meet female tenant needs was denied. They need to more proactively maintain this area to ensure it remains in tip top shape and a selling point for the complex.
