My wife Asuka and I only have WONDERFUL things to say about North Main at Steel Ranch! If I could give it six stars, I would. We are moving to a new state in a month and it is a bummer to say goodbye to such an awesome apartment and community. If by chance you might be looking for a 2BD/2BR apartment, we are vacating ours towards the end of September (it's a quiet first floor unit, and a corner unit with awesome, bright windows and a great vibe with a respectful neighbor upstairs and some truly awesome neighbors in the building). The North Main at Steel Ranch staff is super responsive and awesome; if you call, email, or submit interest on their website they will get back to you very quickly and they do great tours, answer questions in detail, and are fully transparent. Our unit is not yet marketed on the website (but will be in the next few days), so if you are interested, just call the office and ask for Austin, Andrea, or Starr, and tell them you are aware of a first floor 2BD/2BR corner unit coming available in a few weeks and they will help you out. Tell them Logan sent you! ;) More importantly, as we wrap up our time in this apartment, I want to take a few minutes to glow about this staff and the great community they have helped foster here -- they deserve some serious kudos!
Firstly, this place is manicured, landscaping is great, in-unit appliances and community amenities are top-notch, customer service and responsiveness are phenomenal, and Austin (the community manager) is beyond phenomenal and responsive, as are the other staff here including Andrea and Starr, and Juan (an exceptional maintenance person and their "lead" on maintenance requests) is all over it with maintenance requests and any issues that need to be tended to, and he wrangles a small, excellent team of workers who knock it out of the park every time. This place goes out of its way to make sure you are home, comfortable, and worry free.
My wife and I have lived both in the Denver-metro area and the Louisville, CO area for a combined 10 years now across five different apartment communities, and no living environment much less apartment community has ever been even close to how good North Main at Steel Ranch is. They set a new standard in our minds for what it means to have a luxury living environment with staff, maintenance, and amenities that match! The community and grounds are always clean, tidy, and regularly kept so. There is no junk mysteriously hiding anywhere or trash that goes unattended like at other communities. You will not find junk or furniture ever loitering by trash or recycling areas, as these are maintained daily by maintenance staff and contractors. Junk items are "disappeared" same-day -- it's incredible. Management and maintenance are all over it and very responsive to these things!
Unfortunately, my wife and I had to make the difficult decision to leave the community soon due to job change and a cross-country move coming up. Austin was very receptive and helpful, and incredibly understanding, as we navigated our next steps and he has been great to work with as we approach the end of our time here.
If you are on the fence with this place as a future home, do not be! If you are looking in the Louisville or Lafayette (or nearby) areas for apartments, please stop looking and just go with North Main at Steel Ranch. Take our word for it -- we toured 12 different apartments before we made this move and North Main took the cake and overdelivered entirely. We are so incredibly happy we picked this community.
I will make it a point to pop back here to update my review following our move-out process and any final thoughts I can think of as we approach the end of our final month -- plenty of excellent things to say so far, though!
This is a wonderful community to live in. The office staff and maintenance crew are always friendly, professional, and incredibly responsive, and the overall amenities are great.
The only reason I am taking off one star is due to a recurring issue with the pool area. Multiple evenings a week, a very large group of teenagers regularly misuses/occupies the hot tub, often staying well past closing hours. While security is dispatched frequently, it hasn’t been enough of a deterrent to stop them from coming back. If management can find a permanent solution to this, it would easily be a 5-star experience.
UPDATE: I’ve been here for almost a year now. Management and maintenance recently installed new security measures, which have made a significant impact on reducing trespassing in the pool area. Things have been so much better since my last post!
This is a great example of how well the grounds are maintained here at North Main at Steel Ranch. Juan cares so much about keeping the property immaculate, and Austin is always accommodating and respectful in how he manages the community.
