We lived here for only a year and it was absolutely awful. It was a generally subpar apartment and Golden expensive - basement level, poor floor plan, tiny kitchen, outdated, poorly installed carpeting, dirty coin operated laundry room, etc, at about $800/person but the biggest issue with the physical apartment was plumbing. Literal sewage would REGULARLY come back up our drains (that includes both bath tubs, bathroom sinks, and our sink in our itty bitty kitchen). They would come "fix" it quickly enough (a real fix would require the plumbing to be redone) but that would still leave us to CLEAN SEWAGE out of every drain in our house, and being sub-basebasement we couldn't get any airflow and the smell would be there for weeks.
With that kind of problem being handled with little care for the residents in the building, you can guess that management is awful to deal with, and you'd be right. If they needed something from you they'll hound you for it. If you need something from them - radio silence. This happened so often under such frustrating circumstances (rent, maintenance, deposits, fees, meetings, any thing that should be handled by a property manager) that we had to threaten legal action in order to leave that forsaken place.
I highly recommend not living in the basement floor, and not living here while it's managed by golden arms, especially if you are a college student because they will try to take advantage of you.
On the hand, the location is fantastic (definitely walk the river as often as you can and pass it on the way to campus) and parking was usually good.
