Don’t live here unless you want ant infestation .They are behind on their books and will say oh they forgot to charge you for this month. They also have rude workers in the front of the leasing office so I definitely recommend finding another place to live .

I've been at The Junction since June 2, 2026, under lease through July 31, 2027, in a 2023-remodeled unit. To be fair: the unit itself is decent for the price — natural light, plumbing fixtures, quartz countertops, clean cabinets (a little small, but fine for student housing), efficient layout. My issue is with horrendous move-in condition and what it takes to get anything fixed. Move-in condition. The apartment was not cleaned before I moved in. The carpets had years of embedded pet fur and dander and had been covered with baking soda. The AC coils were caked with the same, and there was fur tucked just about everywhere. The AC outlet was plagued with what appeared to be mold (see photos). The carpets have since been replaced. The refrigerator. It was broken on arrival. Replacement took more than a week. I was told they were awaiting parts, and it moved only after I said I would contact the health department. While I was in the office, I overheard corporate staff say they would replace the fridge, but would return the old one to my unit if it turned out to be working. Can't help but wonder why they didn't just inspect it while in the unit. Unnecessary hassle. The old unit was a Frigidaire FFHT1835VS1; the replacement is a Seasons MSTF18SSR. Look them up and draw your own conclusions. The air conditioning. Reported June 6, four days after move-in. Second request July 16. Through most of the summer the apartment reached 82–84°F on typical days and 86°F on the hottest, with the shades drawn. We ran the AC all day on Cool with Eco mode off and the temperature still climbed. The unit would blow cold for 5–10 minutes, then room-temperature air for 20–25 minutes, over and over. I have continuous temperature and humidity logs for the entire period. Colorado cools off at night, so we ran a ventilation setup through the few windows that open — even then it usually stayed above 80°F well past midnight. The unit was finally replaced on August 4 by a traveling tech sent from corporate — 19 days after my second request, nearly two months after my first, and only after I sent two letters invoking my rights under Colorado's Warranty of Habitability law (C.R.S. § 38-12-503 et seq.), which requires action within 48 hours. The new unit works. It should not have taken written legal notice to get a working AC. When I've asked about replacements, I've been told the request has to go to corporate for approval first, which was the same answer I got about the refrigerator. Decisions about whether your home is livable get made somewhere other than the building you live in. Management. My previous review read, in part: "I had a rocky start at The Junction... but Miss Carletta turned it around with empathy, responsiveness, and hiring an outstanding maintenance team." The owner replied a week later: "We are thrilled to hear about your positive experiences with Carletta and Jayson. They truly embody our commitment to the well-being of our residents at The Junction." A week after that, the front office told me Carletta had been let go. Jayson is also no longer here. In light of what followed, I find that response completely disingenuous. One note on location: the Shields & Prospect intersection is loud most of the day and well into the night: motorcycles and muscle cars use it as a route into the mountains. Opening the windows to offset a hot apartment means accepting that noise. Bottom line: things here do get fixed, but in my experience only after sustained pressure and formal legal notice. I'm documenting this so the next resident knows what the process actually looks like. If it changes over the next several months, I'll update this review.

My experience with Cardinal Group LLC and the property they manage has been extremely damaging and continues to affect my ability to secure housing. I lived at The Junction Apartments for one year while attending Colorado State University as a full‑time student and employee. During my lease, I frequently witnessed police and emergency response activity at the property. I later learned that one of the buildings had an active meth lab. As a new resident in Colorado, I had no knowledge of this, and it is deeply concerning that a property housing many college students was operating under such unsafe conditions. The most serious issue, however, has been a wrongful eviction placed on my rental history. The previous management team collected rent from both me and the state, never notified me of any eviction, and then placed a false eviction on my record. The staff responsible for this were later terminated, and since Cardinal Group took over, no one has provided answers or taken responsibility for correcting the error. I have contacted the property and Cardinal Group repeatedly, submitted documentation, and even appeared in court. The judge denied the removal of the wrongful eviction because the property failed to provide proper records. The attorney who previously represented the property has now removed himself from the case and no longer represents them. Despite all of this, Cardinal Group has not corrected the false eviction, and it is currently preventing me from obtaining housing. I have given Cardinal Group more than enough time to resolve these issues. The lack of accountability, communication, and professionalism has caused significant harm, and I will continue pursuing every available avenue until my rental record is corrected. I cannot recommend any property managed by Cardinal Group LLC based on my experience. PLEASE DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS PROPERTY!!! Respones to OWNER Respones: Your response does not reflect the truth of what is happening. Nothing is being “worked on.” I have called, emailed, and left multiple voicemails for both the property and corporate, and no one has responded. Because of the wrongful eviction your management placed on my record, I am still homeless and sleeping in my car. I have received no support, no reimbursement, no hotel stay, and not even my deposit back. I was forced to go through a third‑party refund system, and I still have not received a single dollar. This situation has destroyed my ability to secure housing. The judge could not remove the wrongful eviction because your team failed to provide proper records. That failure is the reason I am in this position today. I have submitted every document, contacted management repeatedly, and waited months for a resolution — yet nothing has been corrected. I have already filed complaints with HUD Housing, BBB, Colorado Housing Compliance, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for fraud, since the State of Colorado helped pay my rent and your previous management still placed a false eviction on my record. I am doing everything possible with the limited resources available in Colorado, and relying on the tenant‑rights knowledge I gained in California just to fight this situation. Your property also caused damage to irreplaceable documents belonging to my deceased father when my closet flooded, and no one offered help or compensation. Combined with unsafe living conditions, incorrect charges, and mismanagement, this experience has caused severe and lasting harm. I refuse to accept that this is normal or acceptable treatment for anyone — especially a Black woman who paid her rent, followed every rule, and did everything required. I will continue pursuing every legal and administrative avenue until this wrongful eviction is removed and my money is returned.

Have Only been able to communicate with AI since living there. Took roommate survey and put me with two nice people but completely opposite of what I put down. Despite having alot of empty apartments I got my last choice on rooms and had higher rent than my two other roommates and kept lowing prices for incoming residents. Been trying to finish move out but have only been able to talk to AI and still expect me to pay rent even after the 60 day notice in lease termination as they requested. Cant get into contact with any human. Noisy there are fights outside all the time. Back paying utilities from months in the past which seems sketch they cant get utilities right and kept double charging me for parking. Never told me about gym access and never gave me key till I moved out. Leaky tub, sinks and shower that they never really fixed caused mold problem which they ignored. Also had spiders crawl on me when I slept, lived in a bunch of different places and that is never happened. I lived on the top floor too.

Do not live here, placed me in wrong unit that was covered in cat hair and food and feces, also in the bathroom the shower was not even attached to the wall with grime and dirt and unknown brown substances all over the floor and toilet that had not been flushed. When I brought these details to management, I was told to take up the issues with the previous tenant. Only then when I lost my temper did they actually clean my unit and bathroom to be move in ready and fix my bathroom after the fact without any compensation either. I also cannot prove it, but Im positive they lied to me about signing a 13 month lease instead of 12.
