Thank you for allowing us to move in early. The apartment M 104 has a weird smell to it (musty, smoke smell). We have been trying to get the smell out.

Was told several times that we would be allowed to tour our apartment before we moved in and every time we tried there was a new excuse. The main excuse being that it had to be cleaned before we could see it. Sign a lease sight unseen because they blew us off and wasted so much of our time that we ran out of time to find any place, finally move in only to find an absolutely filthy apartment. All that was cleaned were the exterior of appliances.
We had to clean old dried urine and feces off the toilet, food getting pulled out from under the baseboards when we vacuum, power mopped the floors and the water was BLACK, yellow stains all over the walls and ceilings, ants everywhere because of all the food crumbs in every crack and crevice of the home, had to pull out the trap in the dishwasher where we found old food, silverware and a child's toy from past tenants.
Have put in several work orders that are now several weeks unanswered.
Work crews and painters here to work on other apartments have just tried to barge into our home without knocking several times and when I complained about this to the office I was basically just told that we had to put up with it just until move in day which was 9 days away and made excuses for trying to enter our home unannounced and without reason.
Workers stomping around in the apartment above us as early as 3:30am depriving us of any meaningful sleep.
Workers slamming doors all night long including weekends
Amenities are absolutely filthy and lacking any maintenance. Fitness center was trashed and stinks, pool is dirty and full of bugs, trash and leaves.
Charges for parking but has no assigned parking or parking passes to enforce any of this and leaving tenants without parking. I am currently disabled and am not guaranteed parking near my apartment.
We have only been here a month and honestly I can say this is the worst place I have ever lived.
The single star is for the very helpful and kind maintenance crew regarding the few work orders that have not been ignored.
Enclosed are photos of the water after we cleaned the "professionally cleaned" floors.

Our experience living at the Alpine was terrible from the start. We moved in and the place was hardly cleaned and the disposal was broken. Our heat wasn’t working and maintenance left paper in the furnace that could’ve caused yet another fire. There were wasp nests on the front entryway and on the balcony that they never took care of after multiple concerns. The balcony itself looked like it was about to collapse at any moment. There was an infestation of raccoons living in the walls that took management several months to figure out how to get rid of and when they finally got pest control, they cut a hole in our wall on the balcony and called it good. Oh and they never came back to patch the hole. I was never given a gym key because they didn’t have enough and when they finally gave me one months after moving in, it didn’t work, so we were never able to access the gym. There was an apartment fire a few buildings away and no one told us. They kept it quiet while also having maintenance run around to check all the other buildings AC connections so those didn’t spark a fire as well. There was no communication about anything including several times where people would randomly walk into my apartment with no warning and they did not have permission to enter as they would’ve let my dog out. We expressed face to face our concerns multiple times with entering our apartment without calling us first and they disrespected that request every time and never called us before entering our apartment which is a breach of the lease agreement. Our neighbors threw parties every other night and had 15 people living in the neighboring apartment at all times. No one picks up their dog poop and it’s left everywhere. The neighborhood is unsafe and trashy just like the exterior and interior of the buildings. Neighbors would smoke in front of their door right next to ours and leave the cigarette butts in front of our walkway (non-smoking community per the lease by the way). Severe lack of communication with billing when they messed up the utilities and had them back charge us several months worth of utilities which was not cheap but we were forced to pay. I’m also positive they double charged us for a few of those months because no one could keep track of anything with how bad the turnover rate in that office is. We lived in their 1 bedroom 1 bath for about $1,400 base rent and we never paid anywhere close to that with our final bills totaling almost $2,000 for that tiny run down place, which is absolutely ridiculous when we hardly ran heat or AC due to the fear of the place catching fire. The whole complex is a dead spot for cellular service, so good luck doing anything without a WiFi connection. When trying to move out, I signed a few move out notices when they requested it and they lost the paper each time, blaming us that we never signed one in the first place. No wonder no one wants to work there. I wish there was an option for negative stars. Highly recommend not living here. We couldn’t move out fast enough.

I have been a resident since 2023. I have always appreciated everything the complex has to offer, and how convenient the location is to everything. Ever since Mrs. Carletta has became the property manager things have gotten even better. I want to big props to the maintenance men as well. They have always been very polite, friendly and have always been quick to respond to any issue I have ever had. I would recommend Alpine Apartments to anyone looking for an affordable place with every type of amenities anyone could ask for.
