  I love the Sloan’s lake area and had really high hopes after looking online at these apartments. However, I watched the woman in the leasing office not answer the phone when we tried to call for our appointment to be let in, no one gave a call back, and during the virtual tour, the lock didn’t work and we weren’t able to get in. Needless to say, if that’s the first impression, you would think they would do everything the can to get people to move there.

  I do not recommend in the slightest, choose somewhere else. I have lived here 3 years. I was not going to write a review untill I saw that my unit was relisted for over 400$/month cheaper than I was paying. Every year they raised my rent. This year I asked for a reprice (bc rent is down everywhere in Denver, I cited other units and prices as examples ) they still tried to raise my rent 20$ and were only going to give me a 3 week credit for resigning. When I put in my move out notice they relisted my unit close to 500$ cheaper. Management clearly does not care about their tenants. I feel incredibly taken advantage of and stolen from. They will increase your rent hoping you don’t want the hassle of moving. And this is the new management I’m talking about. This just happened. If you do choose to live here. Know that people from the homeless shelter Nextdoor spend all day everyday outside on your sidewalk and street. It often looks and sounds like a street party with loud music or a car shop with 5+ cars being worked on at once. I did not feel safe just walking to my car. Management supposedly hired some security but I have never seen them and nothing has lessened the street presence. Management themselves have said there is nothing else they can do. If you choose to live on any floor other than the 5th floor you will hear every footstep and sound from the unit above you. I am not exaggerating. I could go on. I am still waiting to see if I will get my security deposit back. There is no reason for them to keep it and they’ve already robbed me of thousands by over charging me 400$ every month so I sure hope they give me back the deposit. I am so happy to get out. Don’t live here. I encourage everyone considering the building to also read cardinal management groups reviews because this company gets so much worse than what this building has seen so far. Update to reply: Nothing justifies being denied a reprice then you decreasing rent more than 400$ for the next person in the same exact unit not even one month later. That should be illegal to do to someone. You refused to wave my final 180$ utilities (hidden fees) even with me citing how much I was over charged. I want to give some recognition to the fact that I did get my security deposit back in about 50 days after multiple emails and phone calls. Thank you to the final person I spoke with on the phone, I believe he is the one that made it happen.

  I've been a resident for a while (since I moved to Colorado) and I'm hesitant to move because of the location, proximity to work and downtown. Management has changed hands quite a bit but it hasn't really gone downhill. There was construction going on for a while and it is highly unfortunate that the taller, adjacent building basically cut off any light that was coming in for the street facing apartments, but that has been the biggest downside to my time at X at Sloans. Current management is decent, have been putting out events to build community. Maintenance is competent and timely - Yuri and Albert are great. Did a terrific job installing a new AC and fixing the fob sensor on the door!

  X at Sloan's already seems like an amazing complex. Amy is a fantastic leasing agent who quick with any response or help that I needed. The move in process was seamless, and the front office is very communicative. Excited to take part in future community events.
