  I've been living here for about 3 months now and have been loving my unit. Super cozy and I love being so close to the Bear Creek walking trail! I had an issue with my A/C to which maintenance responded in a timely manner and fixed the problem - so yeah all has been great so far and I'm looking forward to this being my home longer!

  Today I'm writing this review to share my full experience for my first 3 months of living here at The Velo Apartments. Truth be told, it was quite the rocky start moving into The Velo apartments. The administration and filling out forms deposit and everything went 100% great, no issue there however the apartment itself was not moving ready for the day of moving. Unfortunately the apartment was filled with trash, however the current staff on hand at the time did take care of the issue immediately. Moving forward, my wife and I began to experience normal apartment issues with this and that breaking or no longer working. But our issues began with the dishwasher breaking down and the current staff telling us we had to fix it that did not sit well with me. It took them about two and a half months and came to find out the current staff overall forgot about my issue and put zero importance on repairing my issue even lying to me. After about a month of waiting I eventually just went down to the office and discovered that that Staffing group had not been performing their jobs diligently ( henceforth why my issue fell through the cracks for essentially 2 months straight). We experienced crazy issues and it was getting to the point where I was considering breaking my lease and just move. As it was appearing that this place was all appearances and no follow-through. (Between the dishwasher, the stove, the trash, the AC not working due to initial installation failure. The problems were quickly adding up). That is thankfully when I got to meet Nicole and her wonderful new crew. At first our conversation started off a bit rocky but however as Nicole listened on to my list of issues that seem to be ever growing, I found compassion within her and her crew. Since Nicole and her new regime joined, I literally had every single issue including a brand new issue that arose while getting the other issues resolved all together resolved and fixed within less than a week's time. I saw and found that it was extremely important to Nicole and to the crew to turn around the negative that has been afflicting and plauging the residents here at the Velo Apartments. Nicole had temporarily hired a crew member by the name of Dave who was very kind, professional and courteous and was addressing issues to be fixed and resolved immediately as quick as possible. Including making sure that communication was in place advising me of the timelines that my issues were to be resolved. Dave, and Martin truly felt like essentially an angel ascending from the Heavens to come and help rescue all the issues that have been going on with my apartment but I have been played with due to the previous mismanagement of the previous crew. And I truly cannot say that enough that they really genuinely put my wife and I at a very top high priority to ensure that our issues were not only resolved but that everything was going smoothly now moving forward. I cannot thank Nicole, Martin, Livon, and Dave enough for prioritizing the issues that have been going on for so long and resolved so quickly. The professionality, the communication, and the courtesy of the crew is top notch. Hopefully moving forward my experience will remain the same throughout the remaining of my lease and that the management issues that this property had been experiencing will be in the past. As a helpful tip if you're reading this review and feel like you are on the fence about this place, come through check out the property and meet the wonderful folks that are running it now as they will put a great impression upon you. As a personal tip though if you hate the sound of traffic try to make sure that you ask for an apartment that does not face 285. All In all, the Velo apartments are a great place to live so far and I've been very fortunate to have great neighbors as well. I hope that you find this review helpful.

  I toured the property with Livan and absolutely loved both the community and how welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful they were throughout the tour and showing me the application process. Everything seemed to be well maintained and updated in the complex. It's on the top of my list for great apartments to move in the area.

  I think management does the best they can. There's high staffing turnover in the leasing office which sometimes delays responses. But the people who live here are classless and nothing can fix that. People blast bass heavy music from their cars that's so loud it rattles the windows. Neighbors grill close to the building with no consideration for fire safety. At one point there was a scooter parked in a walkway and a bike chained to the stairs. A neighbor tied their dog outside to a bush. Last summer, we got multiple emails reminding people to swim in swimwear and not regular clothes. There are constant reminders sent out about the smoking policy. People park illegally in the street parking and obstruct the view pulling out of the parking lot, but at least the city is responsive to complaints about that. There's also a huge problem with solicitors ignoring the No Soliciting sign at the entrance. The issues here go way beyond anything I've experienced in my 10+ years of living in apartments. Before signing a lease, make sure you visit the community a few times at different hours and days to see what you're willing to put up with. If you enjoy living near rude people and having a church knock on your door every few weeks, this is the place for you. Update/ Updated my review to one star due to several miscommunications regarding fixing our AC. It took exactly one month to get a clear answer about when our AC will be fixed, and they are allegedly coming by tomorrow to replace a part. Will update this review about if it gets fixed. Update to AC/ AC got fixed after 5 weeks of back and forth. Update/ Adding the detail that neighbors are inconsiderate and set fireworks off on July 4 during a fire ban. However, I'm grateful for the security service coming by to talk to them. Update to fireworks/ Neighbors also set off fireworks at 11pm on a night that was not a holiday.
