I left a review 2 months back highlighting the good things about the property but since living here for a few months, my opinions on it have entirely changed.
Since living here, I’ve experienced very out of control and aggressive homeless people doing hard drugs outside of the building. If you leave alone at night, they will at times become combative and try to fight you. I didn’t realize that a street over is basically the “Skid Row” of Denver. The bars and nightlife are fun around here. The field is close by which is a nice feature. The parking here is so limited and expensive ($275 per month), I had to get a spot at a parking lot a few blocks over and I genuinely fear for my safety at times. The building is nice, but I don’t know what to say about the location… it can be ratchet at times and I honestly want to break my lease. If you sign, just know that they give you 2 months free (at least that was my deal), but that’s how they get you if you ever need to break the lease. They will make you pay 2 months of rent PLUS the two extra months that were essentially gifted to you. They take their “gift” back is how I view it. They then will have you still pay for 2 additional months. Seems a bit predatory and excessive and I’m having someone look into that but figured I’d put that out there for anyone who may move here and ever need to do a lease break.
It feels as though there’s always something broken within the shared amenities areas that needs fixing and it takes weeks sometimes over a month to fix. I remember the cardio area of the gym being out of order for a month and you could barely get any cardio in outside of a treadmill and some stair climbers. Somebody dropped glass in the pool and that was closed for 4-5 days. Someone’s dog pooped in the pool (???) and they had to shut the pool down for a week as well.
The business center is nice and spacious but they advertise coffee for residents but they failed to mention that they charge money for the cups of coffee unlike many other apartment complexes where it is free for residents. I guess they don’t make enough off of our rents to cover coffee? The vending machines throughout the building are severely overpriced. Example: a Celsius drink is $5 in the vending machine but if you walk a block over to the corner store it’s $2.50 for one. Residents get ripped off with these prices.
My unit is a studio facing the inside of the building - it feels like I’m in prison! I’m so depressed, and this studio space is so tiny I feel like it’s a prison cell. The fire alarm goes off any time you start cooking, I don’t know why they’re so sensitive but there doesn’t even need to be smoke - any kind of steam from a meal you’re cooking is enough to set it off. My cats are so traumatized by the sound at this point and I feel so bad.
Leasing was on me immediately when I moved in and left something in the hallway. They called and said I was violating fire code so I moved the object into an alley nearby since they were going to charge $100+ as a cleaning and processing fee… but people have been putting their dirty, greasy hands all over the inside of the elevators touching the doors and everything and they’re doing nothing about that. I’m not kidding when it looks like someone is purposely putting dirty hands on the sides and door of the inside of the elevators and sliding their hands down. It gets cleaned and they keep doing it. It’s very immature. It’s gross and honestly embarrassing when I bring visitors here and they point it out.
Some of the security is nice and really cool, the others may as well be cosplaying Officer Doofy from Scary Movie. You’ll figure out which ones have your back and which ones wish they were police but couldn’t make it - so they try to run a tight ship on the residents instead.
Overall I will give flowers where they are due - the building has a lot of potential. Great amenities and one of the best gyms I have ever seen in an apartment complex. But it’s very hard to ignore the downsides like the area and overpriced fees.

I’m still giving this building five stars because I believe in judging the building as a whole. One negative experience with one person does not take away from the hard work, professionalism, and excellent service that so many people here provide.
First, I want to give a huge shout-out to Chris, who is an excellent manager. He does a great job and genuinely helps make this building feel well-run. I also want to recognize Sam, the maintenance supervisor, for doing an excellent job making sure work orders are handled promptly, efficiently, and with quality. Every time a maintenance request is submitted, it is taken care of quickly and professionally. I also want to give a shout-out to Dell, the security manager, who is amazing at his job. I really appreciate the tremendous work that Chris, Sam, Dell, and the rest of the team put into this building.
That is why, overall, this building is still five stars to me.
That being said, I do want to be honest about a negative experience. My interactions with Josie have been very disappointing. In my experience, when I have brought up concerns or complaints, I have felt dismissed instead of heard. Rather than helping to de-escalate the situation, listen to the resident, and work toward a resolution, I felt like my concerns were treated as if I was the problem.
As someone with autism, I naturally communicate and express myself differently, and I value patience, respect, and inclusivity. Unfortunately, I did not feel that same level of understanding in those interactions. At times, I felt met with a nasty attitude when simply trying to express a concern or share my perspective. That kind of treatment should not be ignored, especially in a residential community where people should feel respected and heard.
Overall, I still believe this is an amazing building with many excellent people who work hard every day. I appreciate the team as a whole, and I believe the building deserves five stars. I simply hope that situations like this are addressed properly so the overall resident experience continues to improve.
