I sublet my apartment over the summer and they just took my $500 security deposit, charged me a $500 transfer fee, and did the same to the new tenant. Actually horrible management practices and the leasing agents are so horrible at their jobs.

- JPJacob PorterMay 24, 20261.0I was never a student and i made the foolish mistake of trusting the stuff upon signing the lease. They run a predatory business and only want your money and that is all they care about. The leasing office is trying to scam you so DO NOT BUY into their fraudulent $1000 advertisement gift card. The leasing staff is run by clueless young people that don't know what they are doing. This apartment was a living hell when they paired me with the most toxic roommate you can possibly imagine. I tried working with them to move me into a studio and they told me i would have to advertise a lease transfer by someone to make that happen or pay a full months rent. I went ahead and paid the full months rent to get the hell outta there, to later find out that they never advertised it on the website. Do yourself a favor and avoid Mountainaire at all cost, save yourself. Don’t sign a lease here.

Student housing can come with unique challenges and, at times, less-than-ideal conditions, but it’s clear that the team is committed to doing what they can to continually improve the experience and environment for residents.
