I lived in a Glenlakes Apartment from 2023-2025. It was one of my favorite apartments ever! It was in such an underrated Boulder location. Walking distance to grocery stores, small businesses, coffee shops, Raybacks Brewery, and Howard Houston park. It’s a decent price for Boulder (where everything is so too expensive). Are there some things that you “get what you pay for”? Sure. No in unit laundry, no central AC (but a decent living room AC), and my package was stolen once… HOWEVER, we had amazing views of the flatirons, in an amazing location, parking included, maintenance was quick and friendly, the office ladies were nice and knew me by name… The list goes on! At the end of our lease, we got our full security deposit back plus interest, which is a shock in Boulder because most places are run by profit over people big businesses. I am reminiscing on my time in Boulder and Glenlakes was my favorite (and cheapest) apartment I stayed in! Including some pictures of the amazing views we had.

An apartment with a mountain view, has a silent neighborhood and abundant parking space. The leasing office is in the ground floor of same building which makes it easier to reach them for any maintenance related things.

In my time here I only had to call maintenance once and they were very quick and kind. The apartment itself was very nice and the neighbors were never bothersome. When I moved out I got a receipt telling me what they spent my security deposit on and a check for the rest. The rent is pretty high but I think the apartment is worth it

It used to be inexpensive compared to newer apartments closer to central Boulder, but that's changing fast. The rent is raised aggressively every renewal period and the monthly "utilities fees" are going up suspiciously quickly as well.
These apartment buildings are old and the units have tons of issues. Expect plumbing leaks, closet doors and cabinets falling apart, and extremely poor temperature control. There are also mice, ants and I have heard of neighbors finding cockroaches. The leasing office staff is always putting passive aggressive notes under everyone's door blaming residents for the building issues and they will also come in at various times of year to inspect your apartment on very short notice.
