No stars . Danilo the sales associate is very rude and unknowledgeable. Promised to include a linen closet then took his word back and wanted half the cost of the cabinet to get the cabinet installed. I reminded him that real men should not go back on there word. Only after lengthy heated conversation did he agree to follow threw with his word. He will also trys to bully women, and that is completely unacceptable. While we had a heated conversation about the cabinet and being a man he said he would no longer talk to me and would only talk to my wife. That to me signaled that he wanted to manipulate my wife as she is very kind and avoids conflict like the plague. Rafael, not sure of his capacity maybe project manager has been very combative stating we couldnt get the gas line for the stove moved stating it would be too much work. Fortunately the warranty team , Mr.O I will call him and his crew do great work and the gas line has been moved so the stove no longer hits the gas shut off valve and is much closer to the wall. The shower door shattered and where told it was not a warranty item as it was cosmetic. After a lot of back and forth arguing they finally agreed to replace the door. Also be wary of the install contractor they pair you with. Don with Dr technicians is a decent person but his workmanship is subpar . You will end up with a crooked, unsquare, miss fastened, leaking awning. Leaks have been addressed but workmanship is still very poor. However it passed inspection and the contractor did reduce final cost. Within the first week we noticed the water heater was leaking. Upon inspection the shut off valve and corresponding lines and unions were all loose causing water heater cabinet to mold. With the first rain we had 1 window leaking to the inside of the house. Minimal visual damage was sustained but it makes you wonder if you have other hidden less noticable leaks. Unless you have attention to detail many defects do to poor workman ship may go unnoticed and soon will be out of warranty (1) year. And in some instances 90 days or less as they only repair settling cracks as a courtesy one time within the first 90 days as I was told. Was told I signed a wavor of acknowledgement but that never happened as Danilo never finished the welcome home spiel because he couldn't answer questions about the home. There were numerous other issues that had to be fought to be addressed. Be prepared for lots of conflict if buying from Clayton homes west Sacramento. You may have better luck buying from a different location as my neighbors bought from different locations an seem to not have as many issues. As I was told by Dan the West sac manager "look it's not a Ferrari, don't expect a Ferrari".

My wife and I recently purchased a new 3 bedroom 2 bath manufactured home from Clayton Homes. Scarlet was the home consultant that helped us through out the process. The first time I visited the showroom was almost 2 years ago. She was very helpful, patient and provided great customer service. At the time, we weren’t ready to commit. She was very helpful and responsive in providing information yet she did not put pressure on us. About a year and half later, when we were ready, we did not hesitate to reach out to Scarlet again. Throughout the whole process from purchasing, signing and coordinating installation, she was extremely professional and just a pleasure to work with. She was even responsive during some non business hours, when I had pressing questions. So far we are so glad we purchased a new home from Clayton Homes! Will definitely recommend them if you are considering purchasing a new manufactured home!

I had the pleasure of working with Scarlett Daly for the past couple of years while planning the purchase of a Clayton manufactured home. Although I ultimately had to cancel my order due to personal circumstances, I feel strongly that Scarlett deserves recognition for the outstanding service she provided throughout the entire process. Scarlett is truly an expert in her field. Her knowledge of the homes, the process, and every detail involved was impressive and reassuring. She was always incredibly responsive — and I had many questions along the way! Every question was answered promptly, thoroughly, and with patience. Beyond her expertise, Scarlett consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and genuine care. I truly enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend Scarlett to anyone considering the purchase of a Clayton home. You will be in excellent hands.

All I will say is when purchasing pay attention to the 30 day warranty! 6 months and my shower wall cracked in the middle not in a corner or edge and all the service department said they’d do is patch work. Kitchen counter had saw marks and they will sand that down again patch work. They also do not respond in a timely manner to service calls in that 30 day window so I was advised to look at the home warranty that’s 30 days. So at some point I will have to replace my shower because it will continue to spread and was told that by their service repairman but patch work is what they’ll be doing. Oh and the bathroom shelves are wrong size so we can’t even use it to its full potential until I go rebuy some more shelves. Be wise is all I am saying and at your own risk. My daughter loved her house.
