  I have been very disappointed with my experience living at Chatham Village. The biggest concern is the overall lack of professionalism from both management and the security company. The current "security" company, Pacific Coast Patrol, has not met the expectations that residents should have for a "gated community". In my experience, the "on-site security guards" spend long periods sitting on their phones instead of actively patrolling the property. Many residents have expressed similar concerns about the lack of visible patrols One "security guard", Adam, has repeatedly handled situations in a way that I believe escalates conflicts rather than helping resolve them. Management has also been disappointing. Claudia, the property manager, has been unprofessional in my interactions with her. I have found her attitude toward residents to be dismissive and disrespectful, and I do not feel that resident concerns are taken seriously. Likewise, Ana in the leasing office has been rude and unprofessional when communicating with both residents and visitors, making the office an unpleasant place to seek assistance. The property itself has ongoing safety concerns. There have been multiple reports of vehicle and storage unit break-ins, as well as unauthorized individuals entering the community and seen around. The gates are frequently left open or not functioning as expected, making it easy for non-residents to access the property. For a "gated apartment community", this is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about resident safety. Overall, I feel that corporate management has not adequately addressed these recurring issues despite ongoing complaints. Residents deserve professional management, reliable security, and a safe place to live. Based on my experience, Chatham Village has failed to provide those basic expectations, and I cannot recommend living here until significant improvements are made.

  I lived here since 2013. I like the community, management is always respectful, courteous and helpful. And the maitenance team is awesome!!
