My son lived here while he interned nearby and everything went so smoothly. Make friends with Cheryl, the manager! She took care of us. The place was well maintained, felt safe, quiet, and was a great location. (Next to library, police station, food options, grocery, and a short drive to biotech hub.)

My family and I have been residing at Peninsula Pines for about 3.5 months, and while we’ve really enjoyed making this our home, we unfortunately found ourselves dealing with a string of maintenance issues pretty early on. Nothing that I would directly fault management for, mostly the realities of appliances reaching the end of their lifespan and needing to be replaced, but we also had a particularly stubborn toilet leak that, despite Jason’s repeated efforts to troubleshoot and repair it, just would not seem to go away.
Not long after, we started noticing gnats and drain flies in our unit. Pest management came out and was extremely thorough, but when the problem continued, Jason, the maintenance Supervisor, didn’t simply chalk it up to a pest issue and move on. He kept investigating. He took it a step further, checking areas outside of our unit and around the exterior of the building until he ultimately discovered a fresh water leak directly beneath us.
By then, I was understandably exasperated. It felt like we had been dealing with one thing after another, and I had gotten to the point where I genuinely dreaded coming home because I never knew what we were going to be dealing with next.
Cheryl, the Project Manager, called me personally to explain what they had found and what the next steps would be, including temporarily relocating my family while the plumbing repairs were completed. Somewhere in the conversation, half joking and half serious, I said, “Can we just move to a new unit instead?” Cheryl is so easy to talk to that I felt completely comfortable even throwing it out there. She paused and said, “You know what, let me check and get back to you.”
Within the hour, she was knocking on my door to show me another unit.
After crossing her T’s, dotting her I’s, and getting all of the necessary approvals, within 24 hours Cheryl was able to arrange for my family, myself, my husband and our three kids, to move into an updated unit. They even absorbed the cost of the movers, which was something I absolutely did not expect.
I think it’s easy to leave a positive review when everything goes perfectly. For me, what speaks volumes is how people respond when things don’t go perfectly. Jason continued investigating until he found the underlying problem, and Cheryl didn’t just offer us a temporary fix. She listened, took my concerns seriously, and went above and beyond to find a solution that made sense for our family.
She completely changed how I felt about coming home. More importantly, she made it clear that our family’s safety, comfort, and long-term happiness here genuinely mattered.
A huge thank you to Cheryl and Jason for the level of care, persistence, and follow-through they showed our family. It did not go unnoticed, and it is very much appreciated.
