  I wanted to leave this review specifically for anyone considering applying who has a recent bankruptcy or other credit challenges. Before applying, we were completely upfront with management about our recent bankruptcy. We explained our situation because we did not want to waste our time or money applying somewhere if the bankruptcy would automatically disqualify us. Based on our conversations with management, we were left with the impression that our circumstances would be considered and that we had a reasonable chance of being approved. We have sufficient income, meeting the property's income requirements, and a solid rental history. Unfortunately, after completing the application process, both of our applications were denied. I understand that every property has screening criteria and that approval is never guaranteed. My frustration is not simply that we were denied. It's that we were transparent about the bankruptcy from the beginning specifically so we could determine whether applying was worthwhile. For anyone in a similar situation, particularly if you have a recent bankruptcy, I would strongly recommend asking for the screening criteria in writing and specifically confirming whether your bankruptcy will disqualify you before paying application fees or going through the process. Don't rely solely on being told that management can look at your individual circumstances or that you may have a chance. We genuinely hoped someone would look at our current income, rental history, and overall circumstances rather than just the bankruptcy. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I hope sharing our experience saves another family in a similar position some time, money, and disappointment.

  *** To future tenants, DO NOT rent here unless management changes *** I am trying to save someone else the amount of time and stress I've wasted on this place. I have lived here for 2.5 years now. I really liked the apartment. In the beginning, things were good. If we had a maintenance issue, it would normally be taken care of in a timely manner. In the past few months, things have changed drastically. Anytime we stop by the office, there is no one in there. Anytime we call the office, no one answers. I requested to fix my garbage disposal a month and a half ago. I was told a work order was put in. No one has stopped by. California tenant laws state that they have 30 days to complete work orders and we're not well past that. I'm currently pregnant and the smell coming from the garbage disposal has made it impossible for me to wash dishes. I wish I never moved here because the stress has affected me physically and mentally. I would move but with my baby on the way, having to move would be a nightmare. I cannot emphasize enough just how terrible management has been. It is non-existent. We have been left to fend for ourselves.

  Me and my lady decided to move in together about 1.5 months ago. Our time here has been nothing but a joy. The office staff are super friendly and very attentive. The complex itself is well maintained and there are plenty of parking spaces. We had the hardest time finding a place with central A/C, heat, spacious and allowed "large" dogs but Harvest Park delivered in the best way. I found a leak during my move in check list and it was fixed the next day (Sunday). They repaired the pipe, replaced the wet drywall, textured and painted it. You can't even tell it happened! The Harvest Park admin and maintenance team are all stars. Shout out to Miss Amanda for helping us pick the perfect apartment and shout out to Miss Michelle for making the repair process easy for us even with my busy schedule. Davlyn, you guys got a winning combo in the HP office!
