  I’ve been living here for about a year and have only had small issues until recently. The biggest issue by far in this complex is the parking situation. Back in late July started a 2 week cycle of other tenants getting assigned my parking spot, me myself getting assigned others spots or just being left waiting to here if there is a spot available. In our lease we are supposed to be provided with a parking spot at all times. Assigned parking here is a joke on top of it because if someone parks in your spot all you can do is report it to the office (which they basically do nothing about) and they give the car a 24 hour tow notice. This past weekend I came home at 10pm from a busy night at work to a car being parked in my spot. The only available spot other than parking blocks down the street was a future resident spot. So i parked there, the funny thing is if someone parks in your assigned spot as previously stated it’s a 24 hour tow notice. If you park in a future resident spot during office hours you get a 3 hour tow notice… this was also on a Saturday. They towed my car which cost $500 to get removed from the tow yard and management refuses to reply to my email and also is being very difficult about being seen directly. I went into the office very nicely asking if there’s anyway i can be compensated the $500 since i was left without a parking spot for multiple weeks (violating the lease terms on their end) and asked for no compensation then, but i park in what’s basically a guest spot on the weekend for 4 hours (office hours begin at 9am my car got towed at 12:50pm). I was met with the assistant manager being annoyed and rolling her eyes that she has to speak to a tenant of the complex (literally her job) and got told too bad we won’t compensate you next time call the emergency line and we’ll give the person a tow notice as if it’s any help. All i ask is for $500 to get taken off of next months rent or reimbursed somehow for the tow fee.

  Awful living experience. Getting locked out of my apartment twice because of software problems with their electronic locks, their customer service, and lack of communication made living here awful. There’s absolutely no way these apartments should be as expensive as they are. 38 north sucks and residents looking at applying here should look anywhere else.

  STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. They will make mistakes that affect you financially then refuse to rectify them.

  I LOVE this place.!! First of both gals at the front help me tremendously getting into the apartment. Once I spent time here coming from a really difficult time I truly felt peace. It’s quiet here. There are some things that needed to be fixed in my apartment but if you ask you shall receive they are great about fixing things assp. The design and effort that has gone into this establishment is profound. They clean daily and I really appreciate that… my kitchen island is slightly crooked but whatever. The design esthetic and overall effort put into this complex is exponential. Parking is not the best but greatful for all the other amenities and the view of the North Star :)!

  Kay welcomed us from day one, and I honestly stopped looking anywhere else because of her. She made me feel comfortable, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her kindness and positive attitude made such a difference that I stopped searching elsewhere because I knew I was in good hands. I’m truly so sad to hear she’s leaving. If there’s any way to keep her, please do. Employees like Kay are rare, and the impact she has on people shouldn’t go unnoticed.
