I had a really disappointing tour at the Overlook Santa Clarita. The leasing consultant, Lucy Tovar, made me feel unwelcome and like I was inconveniencing her just by asking normal questions. She didn’t seem to know basic info and even contradicted herself about when units would be available to view. On top of that, the fees feel excessive, fifty dollars a month for pet rent plus a five hundred dollar pet deposit, and then seventy-five a month for carport parking. It all feels like nonstop add-ons. Between the poor communication and the way I was treated, I wouldn’t recommend signing a lease here.

I moved in, November 2025 and it’s been an EXCEPTIONAL experience! From the office managers Cassandra and Grisel, to the leasing consultants Angela and Lucy, down to the grounds maintainance GURU Christian…it’s been both welcoming and comfortable!!
TRUST ME…YOU WANNA LIVE HERE!
10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!
I came in to tour and hopefully sign a lease THE DAY I was getting induced to have my daughter. I walked in nervous and anxious, that I wouldn’t have a place to bring my precious girl home to. Thankfully, Cassandra and Angela made everything so incredibly smooth and gave me a HUGE feeling of care and support!!
Not only were they professional, but they were personable, friendly, compassionate, comforting, AND HILARIOUS (a very important personality trait to me)!!!
I was having some issues with the provided computer to print documents they asked for, and graciously Cassandra stopped her daily duties and was diligent about helping me figure it out. She did not leave my side and was determined to get me squared away, so I could leave calmly and happily give birth, later that night! She was absolutely perfect! I left with a smile and peace of mind! Thank you so much for being you, Cassandra!
Some property POSITIVES….
1. The apartment quickly felt like home! It’s beautiful, clean, and quiet.
2. Any issues I’ve had Cassandra and/or Christian are quick to help me with anything.
3. Amazon locker is SO convenient!
4. The pool area feels spa like
5. I don’t use the gym…but my sister has and she says it’s amazing and there’s absolutely no need for a me membership if you live here!
Some property NEGATIVES…
1. No elevators…makes carrying stuff up way more difficult, for everyone…but especially as a single mother with a baby, like me! BUT…thank goodness for Walmart and Costco delivery!!
2. Not enough guest parking spots.
I’m thankful to be part of the Overlook family!
We’ve only been here about a month, but it already feels like home. The property is brand new and beautifully maintained, you can tell the team truly cares about keeping everything clean and welcoming.
Working with Angela made all the difference. She was kind, responsive, and went above and beyond during a stressful time while we were in escrow and unsure of our move-in date. She gave us flexibility and helped us secure a rate that worked for us, which we really appreciated.
The community feels safe and thoughtfully designed, and the amenities, from the upgraded interiors to the pool, gym, and yoga studio, have exceeded our expectations. We’re genuinely happy here and so glad we chose this place.
don’t usually write reviews, but my experience living here for six months was so disappointing that I felt it was important to share.
From the beginning, I never felt welcomed. Instead, I often felt uncomfortable and, at times, like I didn’t belong in a place I was paying to call home. Interactions with management and staff were frequently rude and overly intrusive.
Having guests over became stressful instead of enjoyable. My guests were questioned about why they were there, and even simple things like parking or entering the property felt uncomfortable for them. It created an environment where I felt like I had to constantly justify normal, everyday situations.
I also hosted a gathering at the clubhouse—an amenity available to residents—and despite paying a cleaning fee, I was still expected to do extensive cleaning afterward, which felt unreasonable and unfair.
To make matters worse, it took nearly two months to receive my deposit back after moving out.
This wasn’t just one incident—it was a pattern that made my entire time there stressful and unpleasant. At times, the way I was treated raised serious concerns about fairness and how residents are respected.
A home should feel safe, welcoming, and comfortable—not like you’re being watched or questioned. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this property to think carefully before signing a lease.
