Moving here has been an incredibly frustrating experience due to disorganized management and a complete breakdown in community communication. Between handling persistent accounting mistakes that resulted in unfair fees and enduring months of loud construction without any notice or compensation, the administrative burden placed on tenants is unacceptable. Here is a list of issues I've faced with our apartment complex since starting my rental in June. Management is disorganized, lacks accountability, and in some cases was downright rude. Examples: Utility Overcharges: My utilities were set up correctly, but I was consistently charged incorrect amounts. The temporary corrections management made never lasted, and the issues continued month over month. Payment System Failures: The payment system changed mid-lease and failed to work the first month. Despite being enrolled in automatic payments to pay in full from day one, the system never functioned properly. I had to go to the leasing office several times during my 12-month lease just to rectify payment problems on their end. Unfair Fees: Every time I had to manually pay to fix their accounting mistakes, I was charged a processing fee. I also paid multiple late fees for errors that occurred on their end, despite having set up my account to pay in full. Administrative Burden: During my time at Nantucket, I frequently had to stop working to investigate billing issues. I had to make phone calls to PG&E and a third-party utility company called UB-West, download invoices, and provide proof of payment each time before management would move a finger to help. Refunds were eventually issued, but only after months of constant effort. Withheld Construction Plans: My apartment is on the first floor directly facing the pool, gym, and leasing center. Management shut down these amenities on January 29th, and issued a construction notice. While they contractually have the right to do this, they completely withheld these massive upgrade plans when we signed our lease six months prior, a time when they almost certainly knew what we would be signing on to. Disruption Without Communication: Once construction actually started, our living space was plagued by the constant noise of jackhammers, sawing, nailing, and excavators, alongside a massive amount of dust. Despite the severe impact on our daily lives, management offered zero compensation. We were given the option to walk to a sister community - but this is not what we paid for. Worse, they made no attempt to provide a completion timeline, and when I explicitly emailed them to ask when the noise levels would go down, they failed to address it directly. Ultimately, it feels less like management is being malicious and more like they just don't care; they seem content to shrug off these systemic problems with a "nothing we can do" attitude instead of showing any actual empathy or support for the residents stuck living through it.

I lived in this apartment couple of years back. The overall experience was good. I never had concerns with maintenance support, never felt lack of security. In the end, the management robbed us with deposit. We left the house in condition which is more than reasonable with no damages. But they still charged us repainting and polishing bathrooms? Ridiculous. We lived in this apartment for 2 years, and the contract says there is no repainting charge, but they still charged us. Repainting was waived later but this shows how vague the charges are. I am posting this review now, as subsequent apartments I stayed in, were very reasonable and fair. This community already rents outs apartment at a premium compared to the nearby ones. So beware when u get few weeks of discount, they will eventually rip you off.

Wouldn't trust the apartments that give you false information. They tell you to email them, but it’s been over two months and no one has gotten back to me yet. Vivian is not helpful at all. Wouldn't recommend living in apartments where management doesn't know how to communicate properly. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Nice neighborhood, and safe community to live, management is good, flexible, and responsive, also the maintenance group, Kudos to them. Now why I gave 4 stars not 5, plus all the good stuff on the not great side you will need to deal with airplane noise( you are living close to airport), train horn sound and occasionally sewage smell(Alviso sewage processing plant) also the buildings are pretty old so if you are living on the first floor as I did, you need to find a way to deal with upstairs’ neighbor footsteps Recommended Cheers

This is a really nice and peaceful place to live. I remember first looking for a place to rent in Santa Clara, and we felt overwhelmed by how all of the nearby apartments seemed crammed and busy. Nantucket was a pleasant relief and was an easy choice. We really enjoyed our time here. If we could pick up the apartment and move it to our new location we would love to. The apartments are well designed. The grounds well maintained. We felt very safe. Highly recommend this place. The management is also great. Thank you, Nantucket!
