  I've spoken with Jocelyn in the leasing office on several occasions. She is always super helpful and understanding of any situation and takes the time to listen and double checks to make sure she has everything correct before finishing. I appreciate Jocelyns time and efforts.

  I seriously question why this apartment community continues to do business with the same towing company after that company was involved in a class action lawsuit regarding allegedly improper/illegal towing practices. I personally participated in that class action and received money back as part of the settlement, so this is not something I simply heard about online. Yet after all of that, this same towing company is STILL coming onto this apartment property, placing warning tags on residents' vehicles and threatening vehicles with towing. Lakeside nor this convicted towing company does not have vehicle DMV records to see if the registration is paid or if that only a smog check is needed for the functional vehicles. My question to management is simple: Why are you still contracted with this towing company? With the history surrounding this company, I believe residents deserve transparency about why management continues to use them. I would also like management to disclose whether the apartment community, ownership, management company, or anyone associated with the property receives any financial compensation, incentives, referral fees, revenue sharing, or other benefits related to vehicles being towed from this property. I am not claiming that such an arrangement exists, but considering everything that has happened, I believe it is a fair question that residents deserve an answer to. If a towing company has already faced serious allegations concerning its towing practices—and residents like myself actually received compensation through a class action settlement—why would management continue allowing that same company to patrol our apartment community? Residents deserve an explanation and transparency. *Update* I just spoke with another tenant who said a violation tag was placed on her car by Lakeside Towing company because her car showed expired tags. She said her car is registered but someone came on to the property and stole her tags. She also stated that if Lakeside and their shady towing company had access to the DMV records they would have seen that her car is registered. So once again I don't understand how Lakeside could have this mischievous towing company constantly come on to private property to target their residence vehicles. I think Lakeside should be focusing more on the car thieves who's constantly coming around and stealing license plates, vehicle tags, and catalytic converters amongst other things. Putting everything under one umbrella leads to poor decisions, unfair outcomes, and ineffective solutions because it ignores important differences like the one I just started.

  Be sure to get you rental insurance that includes fire because these apartments old electrical panels are catching fire. There has been 3 fires that completely toasted the apartments since I've lived here. One was caused by a candle and the other two was caused by an old faulty electrical panel which sparked and caught fire. Also do not have anything valuable or sentimental in your apartment because one apartment fire will affect the others in that section being that they are so close to each other. I hope everyone stays safe and I hope Lakeside will start to now upgrade the old electrical after this recent fire.
