  Within weeks of moving in, I reported recurring cat pee smell, cigarette and weed smoke coming through the vents and windows at all hours. Despite being a non-smoking property (indoors), I suffered from headaches and chest pains due to the air quality. Management (HG Fenton) was largely ineffective. They admitted to smelling all of these odors in the vents but never resolved it. I provided medical documentation regarding the impact of secondhand smoke, but they only provided a single air purifier that was not rated for the size of the unit and asked that I carry it around. Communication was misleading regarding security. I didn't know until moving here that management does not have an office on site. I was told to call an after hours patrol, but the patrol later informed me they are only available from 10pm to 6am which left me without recourse when the smoking was most frequent. This also means 7 hours everyday without security (outside of management's office hours). Most heartbreakingly, my young, otherwise healthy, vaccinated service dog was diagnosed with respiratory issues immediately after moving out, which the vet attributes to the smoke-filled environment. When I tried to leave, management attempted to have me sign documents to prevent me from sharing my experience. I refused because prospective tenants need to know the truth. If you value your health or your pet’s safety, please look elsewhere.

  From inquiring about current availability, throughout the application/move-in process, and even a little over a month after move in, this place and staff has been amazing. Kalani helped me through everything, answering even my dumbest questions with patience. The staff has set up several community events that have all been a blast, and I can’t speak highly enough about the amenities and quality of life change since moving into this building. I love the apartment, but the community is what makes this such a fun place to live, although being across the street from Petco and receiving discounts at local businesses doesn’t hurt. If you’re considering living downtown, stop looking and apply to Urbana. I promise you’ll love it.

  Best apartment I have lived in as far as staff, community, etc. Alysse is the best, she's like the cool R.A. you had in college. Units are very nice with nice amenities. They put on great events that always have a homey but fun atmosphere. Quick to respond to maintenance requests, and it's always clean. Never had any issues with elevators, noise, things in the apartment breaking, etc. Only thing that I think could be fixed is the shuffleboard table needs new wax, the discs stop halfway. Location is great in east village, plenty of stuff within walking distance.

  Great apartment! Staff is awesome and always super helpful whenever needed. Location is perfect right by the ballpark. Close knit community provides a good vibe for living.
