  This building is a gem tucked away from the bustle of East Village. I wish it had a pool, but all the other amenities are great. The property feels safe, well-maintained, and well cared for. The Urbana team has been wonderful over the years. Dale and Izanna are both great to work with, and John, the maintenance lead, is truly the best. Not only does he do a fantastic job keeping the building in great shape, but he’s also incredibly friendly and always great to chat with. Salvador on the repair team also does a wonderful job taking care of things as needed. He’s friendly, helpful, and always does quality work. Overall, I’ve had a great experience here.

  Horrible management, did not do the basic necessities whenever I moved out like they said they would they never came for the walk-through the apartment. I had to reach out to them regarding any payments that I had to pay. I never received my security deposit back.

  Within weeks of moving in, I reported recurring cat pee smell, cigarette and weed smoke coming through the vents and windows at all hours. Despite being a non-smoking property (indoors), I suffered from headaches and chest pains due to the air quality. Management (HG Fenton) was largely ineffective. They admitted to smelling all of these odors in the vents but never resolved it. I provided medical documentation regarding the impact of secondhand smoke, but they only provided a single air purifier that was not rated for the size of the unit and asked that I carry it around. Communication was misleading regarding security. I didn't know until moving here that management does not have an office on site. I was told to call an after hours patrol, but the patrol later informed me they are only available from 10pm to 6am which left me without recourse when the smoking was most frequent. This also means 7 hours everyday without security (outside of management's office hours). Most heartbreakingly, my young, otherwise healthy, vaccinated service dog was diagnosed with respiratory issues immediately after moving out, which the vet attributes to the smoke-filled environment. When I tried to leave, management attempted to have me sign documents to prevent me from sharing my experience. I refused because prospective tenants need to know the truth. If you value your health or your pet’s safety, please look elsewhere.

  I lived there for 2.5 years, and I never had any problems. So, that says a lot right there. In addition, the staff were always friendly and engaging, and the resident events were a lot of fun. The rooftop BBQ is the best cooking surface ever! It’s a giant Mongolian-grill type. I had some epic carne asada parties during my time there. Photo is seared bluefin tuna on that grill. If you like baseball, you can watch the games on the roof and hear the crowd roar from the nearby stadium at the same time. Everything in the building is new and well-maintained. Responsiveness to any service requests is super-fast. Overall, it’s a great place to live!
