  BIG THANK YOU to Cesar for taking care of our broken shower handle. We couldn’t turn off the water at all. He responded very fast after the call was made on Saturday. This gentleman is very kind and efficient. Give this guy a raise because he truly deserves one! Thank you again Cesar. You are truly a great employee!

  Cesar has been absolutely outstanding. He’s been incredibly responsive and has helped fix multiple issues in my apartment, including the shower head, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. Every time, he’s been prompt, professional, and made sure everything was taken care of the right way. Beyond being great at his job, Cesar is genuinely a kind person who clearly cares about the residents. It’s rare to come across someone who is this reliable and helpful. I really appreciate everything he’s done. Thank you, Cesar! Torrey Gardens is lucky to have you.

  We have had many great experiences with our maintenance team, and I especially want to recognize Cesar, Carlos, Jesse, and Gino. Cesar always goes above and beyond. There was even one time when we had an emergency with our bathroom faucet. We couldn’t turn the water off, and it just kept running. It was already late in the evening, and his shift was over, but Cesar still came and fixed everything for us. He always provides exceptional service and is such a pleasant person to talk to every time we meet him. Carlos always seems to make the impossible possible! If something is broken and a new part is needed, he somehow always finds it and fixes the problem as quickly as possible so we don’t have to deal with the inconvenience. We really appreciate his dedication and willingness to find a solution. Jesse is a new member of the team and has only completed one maintenance request for us so far, but he was also very professional, very pleasant to communicate with, and fixed everything quickly and did an excellent job. Gino has always been friendly, professional, and quick to respond to our maintenance requests, usually by the next day. He is always respectful, pleasant to talk to, and we appreciate his help as well. We truly appreciate having such a wonderful maintenance team. Thank you for everything you do!

  Torrey Gardens: One Month to Process an Application, Then Silence on a Refund We toured Torrey Gardens in April and were genuinely excited, enough to submit our application on April 19th and pay the required $500 holding deposit. We were told upfront that this deposit is only refundable within 72 hours. From there, things fell apart. We called every few days for updates and were repeatedly told that applications are processed "in order of move-in date" and we'd just have to wait. Our application wasn't approved until May 22nd, over a month after we applied. When they sent over the leasing documents, we took time to think it over. When we asked why it took so long, we were told there had been unresolved "technical issues" on their end. At that point, a month-long approval process was enough of a red flag that we decided not to move forward, and we asked in good faith for our $500 holding deposit back as the delay was entirely on their side, not ours. The leasing agent said she'd escalate the request to upper management. That was May 24th. We still haven't heard back. I've rented my entire adult life, from large management companies to small individual landlords, and I've never had an application take a month to process, let alone been ignored after asking for a deposit back that was withheld due to their own internal delays. We're happily settled in a new apartment now, but if you're considering Torrey Gardens: be prepared to get ghosted. If management is reading this, we'd still like a response. We understand there are policies in place, but any reputable company should be willing to acknowledge its own faults and make things right.
