Based on the photos online, La Jolla Blue looked like a great place to live. Unfortunately, our actual experience was the complete opposite, and I would not recommend living here.
The apartment was not clean when we moved in. The drawers, underneath the stove, and behind the refrigerator were filthy. We notified management, but no one came to properly clean the unit, so we ended up doing it ourselves. Throughout our stay, we also dealt with mold issues, which was extremely disappointing.
The laundry facilities were another downside. The washers are incredibly small, making it difficult to wash even average-sized loads.
The move-out process has been the most frustrating part. Despite leaving the apartment in good condition, we were charged for a full paint, professional cleaning, and numerous utility charges. After reviewing the final accounting, I found multiple discrepancies, including missing payment credits, confusing utility reconciliations, and a final balance that doesn't match the move-out statement. I'm still waiting for an explanation and supporting documentation.
Looking back, the discounted first month makes a lot more sense. It feels like a way to get people in the door, only to make up for it later with excessive move-out charges. My $600 security deposit was completely consumed, and I'm even being told I owe more despite significant questions about the accounting.
If you're considering this apartment, document everything on move-in with detailed photos and videos, save every payment receipt, and carefully review every line of your move-out statement. I wish I had known to expect this experience before signing my lease.

Do not move here do not move here
Bad bad bad!!!
Do not move to La Jolla blue Apartments please read.
I’ve been living there for over six years. The maintenance is bad a lot of noises, garbage track early morning a lot of noises a lot of dust lot of spiders on top of that they gonna ask you for a cheap deposit which is $500 when you try to move, they will come up with two months of fees like water, trash and valet, even you clean your apartments, they will charge you $380 for cleaning fees. after you leave and you give him the keys.
I had a very bad experience with this company. They always change management. You don’t know who you deal with and they always hit you with some fees. You don’t know..
You will see after I am done with this negative post you cannot see a post from their management. They see please contact us. We’re gonna make it happen but they are just bullshitting. I contact them and they never do anything. They just try to be nice on the feedback.

We went to tour these apartments and I wanted to share my experience. The property seems great. Izabel toured us and was super friendly. Afterwards, we spoke with the manager (Kristin) and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She provided us with all of the information we needed and made sure we had all of our questions answered. I would definitely go see her if you’re in the market for a new place. They’re now at the top of our list on this search for our new home.

Why they charged me 2 months after my lease ended?
———- my reply
I give you guys the keys I believe on May 27 so basically what I'm understanding I'm gonna get billed for the month of June which is I don't get it if you build me for me which is I already paid May in advance, including the utilities, the trash, everything why I'm paying June I'm not living there and you told me you're gonna be paying for two months 60 days basically June and July please you know I do the calculation again and you know let me know what's going on because you know my first $500 was gone. I agree with the cleaning but something else you know doesn't make any sense to me please I need to explanation. I don't understand to be honest with you.
