  Hello everyone. So i am not a tenant yet but I was approved today July 25th 2017. I'm not sure if I'll still be a resident but i would like to share with everyone my experience. When i came into my scheduled appt last week I was greeted by Mackenzie. I explained to her that i was looking for a 2bd 2ba. She said they didnt have any. She then begin telling me about their sister properties. Wrote their numbers down on their woodbridge pamphlet, and handed it to me. With an akward silence in the midst i told her i would still like to see a unit. She goes. Oh ok. Sure. So we see it and although the rooms are smaller then other places I'd seen for cheaper i wanted a washer and dryer as i rent a house now and i know how much a week my kids and i wash. So i went ahead and applied. I did everything as asked. I brought proof of everything went above and beyond even showing my bank statement. Now i feel like because she seen how much was in there im being asked to produce the deposit within 24hrs. I was told by their dispatch that the $32 application held the apartment. My current rent is 1700 although month to month my landlord has been the same since 2012. I lived at 2 of her different properties. Never late ALWAYS responsible and prompt. Etc. So when they didnt tell me prior that the deposit would be due 24hrs after i was approved i was upset. See I would have NEVER applied because in order to move i knew i promised my landlord half the rent because they said the move date would be August 8th. So i planned on paying $850 to my landlord another $1400 to them give or take cause my deposit was raised from $500 to $650 with no explanation as to why but that was minor to me. I have a BBA so had they told me the deposit was due 24hrs after being approved i would've said oh ok ill come back wednesday next week cause thursday i woildve been prepared to pay the day after. Its no big deal. Its always a way around a policy without breaking it so again had i been told i would've known to just come the day before i was paid to apply. I have 3 kids rent smud pg and e a 2015 and a 2017 vehicle. I just started a business called Queenk decor i have a blog that also generates income for me as i showed the leasing agent that in my bank statement. It just seems so unlike a place to say yeah we have this policy and we cant work out ANYTHING for you because of whatever. So i asked her what would happen moving forward would my move in date change would i get a different unit. Lol she said no. It'll be canceled. No apologizes no "well maybe we can" just a flat out canceled. So you've wasted your time calling, verifying, faxing etc for what? Trees die daily for paper and you just printed all this off for what? Lol Now dont get me wrong I'm not too mad aboit the policy I'm bothered that one thing was said amd another thing occured. Who would pass a hardworking never late on her rent entrepreneur as a tenant without so much as a "ok this is what we can do" type of solution. I've gotten some ideas for a blog off of this situation so i cant complain but i will update and let you all know what has happened over the next course of actions. I never quit and i never allow what someone else says to possibly put me in a position where i cant keep my word. So yes i have the money i have prior obligations that are way more important because my word is bond. I'll apply again next week and be sure to update. I gave 2 stars for carelessness, and poor customer service for NEVER offering a solution. Until next week.... Update: July 26, 2017. I received a call this morning from the property manager Cara around 10:30am. I've never met her the few times i was in the office but I'm a huge reviewer and her name appears frequently throughout what good comments there are. Not only did she find a solution to the delimma at hand, she had a unit come up with EXACTLY what i was looking for in the beginning. She was sweet, patient and very informative. Thank you thank you Cara. Truly. Doughnuts and coffee on me for your staff😊
