I really don't like to slam places in reviews and my history reflects this and I review honestly. Since moving in, my experience at this complex has been extremely disappointing. I moved into an apartment with knife stab holes in the bathroom door, sledgehammer dents in the front door, cracked door framing, a broken sliding door, a storm door with a door handle pressed up against the door frame making it difficult to turn the door knob, and weak bathroom ventilation that leaves the unit muggy, countertops that are chipped away on the edges, kitchen flooring that has dents and scrapes in it, crayon all over the siding on the patio. These issues were all present on day one, and months later, several of my original maintenance requests still haven’t been completed.
Maintenance and management consistently show resistance, pushback, and a lack of attention to detail. Repairs are treated like an inconvenience, and jobs are often marked “completed” despite not being done. I finally received a new front door, but it was downgraded to a door without a peephole, which is unacceptable given the area’s issues with trespassing, dumpster rummaging, and vehicle break-ins.
It also felt sketchy that management refused to disclose the previous tenant’s damages. I document everything thoroughly, but it’s clear they prefer to hide or delay repairs rather than address them. Even basic amenities are neglected: one pool gate is chained shut, the other gate’s handle is broken, and the hot tub is cold. The attitude from certain staff members has been unprofessional. One employee was openly rude when I asked to have all move‑in damages documented, as if I was inconveniencing her by requesting something that is literally her job. It makes me concerned they may try to bill me for damages caused by the previous tenant.
Notices posted on doors are vague and unhelpful. They expect tenants to be home all day, without telling us which day, what time, or what part of the unit will be worked on. It’s lazy, inconsiderate, and shows a lack of respect for tenants’ time.
This place could be much better if management acted like tenants are paying customers instead of treating us with an authoritarian attitude.
I suspect the staff may be overwhelmed or poorly managed from above, but that doesn’t excuse months‑long delays or dismissive behavior.
I’m still giving them a chance to improve, but tenants should know their rights and be prepared to advocate for themselves. No maintenance request should take over 30 days, yet here we are. My kitchen cabinets are now falling apart, and I’m still waiting for weather stripping from my original move‑in request.
I hope they fix these issues, but as of now, I cannot recommend this complex. I got a very strong vibe that they have financial trouble and are cutting corners to save money. There is not a customer solution based mentality with staff until you start pushing back and applying pressure and complaining. Even then things are delayed. They do realize they are a business right?? The management seems unaware what a good landlord/Tennant, business/customer relationship looks like.
I am interested to see the blanket response management writes in response to this review. They will probably act like they care but in reality they do not care or have any sense of urgency. I have already brought all of these issues to their attention except the cheaply installed cabinets that just started falling apart. I have very little confidence in this teams ability but maybe they will pull things together. I am hoping they do.
