  We had a 5pm appointment to tour and leasing office is closed even though it says 6pm on sat. What a waste of time.

  Oakwood Residences (4.5 stars) | MResidences (3.7 stars) | Cirrus (1.9 stars) - these are reflective of the average Google reviews of each management company operating the property (see timelines of ownership at end of review). TL;DR: Lived here 6 years and moved out in August. Perks shrank with every management change, a 20% rent increase is what finally pushed us out, and five weeks later I still haven't gotten my deposit back (have called them ~10 times and their response is we'll call you back ... haven't gotten anything) Six years, four management companies (one of them held it for about a month, so call it three real transitions). Tried to keep this as objective as possible and the pros / cons are reflective of the Google Reviews (important to understand the history of management): Oakwood Residences + 24/7 security guard (Worth noting there used to be a strip club across the street, and the neighboring complex is transitional housing (still there) - we didn't have too many problems there, and they're generally good people, but it isn't labeled on Google Maps, so know what you're moving next to.) + Pool heated year round MResidences - Lost the security guard, and the pool stopped being heated (they said it was broken, but I suspect cost cutting) - Raised a concern about moisture causing mold; they called it mildew and left it there Cirrus + Trey is great - Raised rent roughly 20% for most residents - Let go of Javier and Eduardo, the maintenance guys everyone liked - Jacuzzi still has ongoing problems - No more ping pong table Since move-out + They're remodeling units, so new residents may get a nicer apartment than we had - Still no deposit. We moved out August 31 and gave our forwarding address in writing that day. California law requires landlords to return the deposit or send an itemized list of deductions within 21 days. As of October 7, I've received neither, and I've since sent a formal written demand. After this many transitions, I'd be surprised if anyone there knows what the deposit was. My broader read is that each new management company has tried to squeeze more out of the property, and I'd expect that to continue. We had a great six years here.   We were looking for a new place in the Bay Area and decided to stop by for a tour. Tre greeted us right away, and we immediately loved his energy and enthusiasm. He made the tour feel welcoming and genuinely got us excited about the property, so much so that we decided to fill out an application on the spot. There were a few delays between applying and getting to the lease-signing stage, but Tre was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He stayed in communication with us, talked us through each step, and did everything he could to make sure things kept moving smoothly. He made what could have been a stressful process so much easier. We really appreciated his patience, positivity, and willingness to help. Without Tre, the whole experience would have been much more difficult. Highly recommend working with him!

  Ever since Cirrus Redwood changed management, the overall experience has declined significantly. Management has been unresponsive, and several major issues remain unresolved. The flooring was replaced with much thinner material, so footsteps from the apartment above are now extremely loud and disruptive. The air conditioning in the gym and common areas has also been broken, with no clear timeline for repairs. In addition, the garage security gate is sometimes left completely open, which is a serious safety concern for residents and their vehicles. I have also heard there has been additional management turnover, the manager jsut got fired and there is only one staff remaining. which only adds to the instability. try to avoid at all cost!

  Not just myself but there is a very centralized consensus that ever since the management team changed, living here has gotten noticeably worse. Every issue somehow turns into “that’s not our responsibility.” The gym AC and hot tub have been out for weeks in the middle of summer, and there still doesn’t seem to be any real plan to fix them. A lot of the new “improvements” have also just created more confusion and inconvenience for residents. What makes it worse is the attitude from management. They’ve become dismissive and arrogant, while rent keeps going up. Honestly, avoid this place if you can. I would give zero stars if that were an option.
