  Every month I come to visit a friend that lives here. The staff is always professional and welcoming. They are very friendly and I have witnessed them interact with their residents and they have always been happy and satisfied with their service. Today when I came to visit the maintenance crew was out front trying to rescue a kitten that was in the tree. Talk about going above and beyond on their job duties. Diego was able to successfully rescue the kitten. Great place to live!

  Whenever I have a work order to be completed, Mrs. Marilyn Garcia is the most proficient and dedicated employee that Shapell has. Marilyn is a very conscientious and friendly worker. I have known her for 4 years, and she does excellent and exceptional work. I look forward to seeing her whenever I need something done in my apartment. In the past, when I had a small problem in my bathroom sink, she changed ALL the necessary pipes and even came back the next day to make sure there was nothing wrong with my sink.   Upon handing in the keys to Alex in the main office, everything was business as usual and by the book routine paperwork & processing as if I was another number in line to be processed. Once the last paper was signed, Alex reached out his hand to shake & said "thank you!, have a good day!" The day before I called and spoke with Alex asking him for the process of the final inspection, as I was told that there would be 2. He said just bring in the keys and that's it. I reminded him that my mother(Marie) had passed away. He sounded surprised but did say "I'm sorry". Which is why I was surprised at the shifted behavior the following day, again like it was business as usual like a machine. At the end of the hand shake, I told him that I would accept him saying "I'm really sorry to hear about your loss", as opposed to the business as usual tactic. My beloved mother lived at your property for the last 11 years of her wonderful life! Alex knew who she was as he has been there for most of those years. You would think that a more personal condolence message would be submitted rather than a computer generated message to a deceased person as if she was still able to respond to your questioner. It's consistent with the behavior of Alex during the last move out process.
