I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our maintenance technician James for his quick assistance with my dryer. While I was certain it was broken, he fixed it effortlessly—he truly has a magic touch! Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and excellent service.

This place does not even deserve one star. I recently moved out, and I am honestly relieved that I completed my lease without major arguments with the property management. First, the property management is very unprofessional. They are friendly and welcoming when you first move in, but after that, they become rude and often ignore emails and messages. Second, the property does not feel safe. There are frequently homeless individuals staying in the parking area behind the building, sometimes even sleeping near the trash area. When I reported this issue, management did not take meaningful action and simply told me to call security. Unfortunately, security would often see the situation and do nothing about it. Third, the apartments are overpriced for the quality provided. The construction and maintenance quality are poor considering the high rent. For example, while living on the first floor, I regularly experienced bathtub drainage backing up from other apartments. Overall, this place is extremely expensive and does not reflect the quality, safety, or management service tenants should expect for the price they pay. I truly regret choosing to live here.

I originally moved into Villa Montanaro when it was a Windsor property. I was drawn to the community because of its strong reviews, proximity to public transit, and the large dog park (which is rare in the area). When I first moved in, I genuinely enjoyed living here. The management and maintenance teams were responsive, questions were answered, and issues were handled quickly. The neighbors were friendly, and I met several other dog owners at the park. Things began to decline in 2024 when the property was purchased by AMC (Apartment Management Consultants). There was little to no communication about this transition. The first email from the new management didn’t come until July 2024, and the community manager didn’t introduce themselves until about a month later. Previously, residents had access to a secure package system (Amazon Hub), which was removed. We were told it would be replaced with new Amazon lockers, but that never happened. Residents were required to switch to a new rent payment platform and pay a fee just to register. Community events, which used to be fairly frequent, became rare, and when they did happen, they often felt more like promotional setups, with things like an “Xfinity representative” table rather than actual resident-focused events. Over the following months, there were constant changes and renovations. Some improvements were fine, but others significantly took away from what made the community appealing. In July 2025, residents were notified that the large dog park would be removed and replaced with a courtyard. This was frustrating, as the dog park was a major amenity and a daily convenience for many residents. A smaller replacement dog area was added, but it was located in a corner of the parking lot, roughly a third of the size, and poorly designed. What was once a functional and enjoyable space became little more than a basic relief area. At no point were residents given an opportunity to provide input on these changes, they were simply implemented. It became clear that the new ownership prioritized increasing property value over maintaining resident satisfaction. Communication also declined significantly. Reaching management often meant waiting days for a response, if one came at all, and interactions frequently felt dismissive. Despite being labeled a “smoke-free” community, marijuana smoke was a persistent issue in hallways, stairwells, and outdoor areas. Management sent repeated reminder emails, but there was little to no enforcement. Community standards for residents to have organized balconies and restrict certain items were now completely ignored. Additionally, there was a noticeable increase in people going through trash bins multiple times per day, and non-residents dumping furniture, appliances, and other large items in the garbage areas. The apartment unit itself was solid overall, aside from noticeable noise from upstairs neighbors. However, the management and overall decline in community standards ultimately led us to decide not to renew our lease.

James did an excellent job of identifying the problem with our dish washer, ordered the part and it fixed the next day. Thank you James
