  The place is old and run down. Besides the roaches, rats and termites, the windows leak when it rains. Work orders sit for months or years without fixing. I would make this your very last place to come to. Management is great but they make no decisions on fixing anything. Utilities are included in rent so due on first and your looking at 700 or more. My family has been trying to move sense we moved in. ((((Quick add on after I have moved out))))) The property is under investigation by the Oxnard DA for unlawful evictions and tells tenants they had to move out and not excepting rent. This place is horrible and that is a huge understatement. You won't get your deposit because a slum Lord owns this and they keep selling to avoid fixing. How they sold this property for millions is baffling considering the overhaul needed to get up to minimal decent standards. If they have any sense they will tear down and rebuild. Inless they tent everything there will always be roaches. We lived here for a brief period also in my 20s and there has been no significant change to anything inside sense then and that was 25 years ago. If your down on your luck keep looking because this place is gross.

  Nightmare experience. First, while we were enroute from Maryland we had already signed everything site unseen. While we were on the way and in the desert with almost no cell service they contacted us and said if we didnt pay a holding deposit of half rent up-front in the next hour they were going to give our apartment to someone else. Then they switched apartment numbers on us before we arrived. Come to find out, it didnt matter, the virtual tour was of their model appartment and not the actual unit. Prior to arriving, I asked them if parking was a problem and they said no. Parking is a daily battle. If you try to park in the afternoon you will have to park miles away and have someone drive you back home unless you want to risk getting towed. 1 car garage per apartment is given but you share your garage with other tenants. Had a homeless person camping in my garage because the other tenant wouldn't shut the garage door. Human poop on public sidewalk on the side of the property. Rent is expensive. Had the apartment flood on us one day so I was stacking sandbags for a while. I was away for a week for training, had someone break in and was scared away by our big dogs and left the door open. Told management about the break in and they were rude to my wife and gas lighted her. This is a bad part of the neighborhood too, live somewhere safer. The property is gated but the other tenants purposely rig the gates to open without a key by stuffing the latches with paper and stuff. Had a hit and run on my car while parked outside. They changed management 3+ times in the 6 months we lived there. When we first moved in the bedroom and bathroom doors didn't even close because the doors were not the right size. Didn't fix this problem for several weeks and their fix was to saw the door to size instead of finding a door the right size. No control of children. Had 1 kid hop our fence and took stuff from the backyard, broke the fence in the process. Other kids would accidentally kick a soccer ball into our bedroom window at all hours of the day and night, luckily didnt break anything. While moving out, had people drive up to the moving truck to try and steel things but peeled off, tires screaching when they saw us approaching. Again, do not recommend.

  We had an easy move in with great service. Everything was straight to the point and Gio from Alturas Oxnard Homes was a great help. She did an amazing job in making us feel welcomed. I love it there and it’s a nice community to live in. Everyone I’ve seen is friendly. Looking forward to spending quite a few time here.

  This property is really turning itself around. They are making a lot of improvements to the apartments. Really looking forward to seeing all the new changes ,especial when it's going to benefit the residents.

  Bad office people rude been leaving here for 2 yrs and every time i tell ann the office lady the problems in my apartment she never writes them down then she blames us saying we didn't put in the order. Nothing gets fixed they supposedly try to but they dont at all. Bad service i wouldnt even rent here plus the rent is expensive.
