I've lived in Oceanside for over 20 years and have seen many many chances to our community. I remember watching Ocean Creek being built and feeling a bit nervous about the impact it would have on the area. When I saw they were open and offering 2 months free I decided to take a look. I wasn't even planning on moving. We visited the property 3 times and were shown several different layouts as well as the amenities. I was impressed on how nice everything was set up, very bougie but in a good way. The layout we chose is a perfect roommate design with the rooms on opposite sides of the living room. They really did a great job of making sure a person could enjoy a good quality of living. The dog walking area, dog park, dog spa, pool, gym, community areas, office areas, bbq, ping-pong, corn hole, and some other game I don't know the name of, really makes it feel like a fun place to get the community together. I love the security and the system used to let deliveries or guests in. Everything is locked and safe. I see security walking around at night as well. The unit I am in is a 2 bedroom and very spacious with a master bedroom, walk-in closets and double sink bathroom. The 2nd room is not as big but also spacious with a walk in closet. Having A/C, washer and dryer in unit was a must for me with my disabilities. Having the dog spa will be great to have as well. Everyone is friendly and any issues between residents seems to be resolved quickly. They offer a garage on a first come first served basis which is an addition to the rent but affordable. Yes, some things we were told would be available aren't yet opened but the management team is always quick to get me an answer to those type of questions as well as the many other questions I have. It's nice seeing the same faces and getting to know the staff. The maintenance man is quick and always in a good mood. The place is clean and although there will be some growing pains as more people move in and we find there are areas to improve the property is open to suggestions and helpful. I hear there's going to be a coffee shop in the commercial space near the mailroom and am hoping for Better Buzz to be the choice. The location is great and close to Frazier Farms, 10th Planet, UPS, and more. I am grateful that we were able to get into such a beautiful, clean, safe place and I hope it continues to be a great living experience. Natasha and Lily are the two ladies I speak to most often and they are always friendly and patient. I highly recommend checking it out.
If someone at Ocean Creek apartments or Sares Regis Group (the owner) tells you the sky is blue, your first instinct should be to run outside and make sure the sky is not orange. Honesty is a big concern here as other reviewers have pointed out.
They do not disclose where your parking spot is if it is located if it is far away from your building (I asked specifically on this and was mislead).
They did not disclose the amenities would be closed for months during the leasing process. They tried to blame this on the City of Oceanside (citing they were awaiting an inspection); however, I checked the city's inspection website and spoke to the city staff and that does not appear to be the case. The amenities are still closed.
This is shocking professional conduct and displays a lack of integrity. Sares Regis is aware and has done nothing so far. Would not recommend.
Edit: The management team has had ample time to review this before I left the review. Would not characterize the below as an earnest response, more of a save face response.

Apartments are nice. The 1 bedroom is good size and only real downside is no ceiling fans but that’s user preference. I will say the only reason I gave it 3 stars is lack of communication and false information with the amenities being open. This complex is fairly new and things are still being built. The gym, pool and mail room have been closed since we moved in. We were told when we moved in on June 6th it would be open at the end of that week and when I asked a week later it was pushed to July 1st. Which is no problem but now it’s been pushed again to the end of July to beginning of August. Now the gym and pool are non functional also we can’t get mail sent to our apartment. We aren’t allowed access to the mail room and can’t mail anything here until the building opens. Very inconvenient. Don’t tell your tenants false information.

I was told that the low income was still open to them. Get two emails asking for me to apply to them be told that the list was then closed. I find that very unprofessional and actually wrong in so many ways, especially with the fact that I was looking to move in ASAP not in weeks months but now and I feel that having such a small limited amount for low income, especially for somebody who’s on disability doesn’t sound like you guys are really that big on the community and or more into how much money you can make which is sad. I’m on a fixed income. I had the money to move in right then and there no waiting. I already know my rental history is perfect, but to be told that the list was still open have the email sent to me and then be told that the list was closed very disappointing and very unprofessional of you guys.
