  I lived at NBT for two years and loved it. Jan in the front office helped me find and sign for an apartment, and I never had any issues with my neighbors, barely any noise even in a downstairs unit. The pool and the gardens/grounds are always immaculate, the gardeners do a great job of keeping the place tidy. It’s a great location, easy highway access, minutes from the beach, and a grocery store right across the road too. I only moved away because I moved for work. If I was still in OC I would still be renting here.

  Location is AMAZING. It was great to walk/bike down the street to the back bay. I would bike from the back bay all the way to work in Irvine (along the San Diego Creek Trail, was a 5 mile ride, no streets). The main gardener is a friendly guy. My dog didn't like him though (I tried to explain the difference between mailmen and gardeners, but she is set in her ways). Lived there for a year from 2016-2017. Would have given them a 5 if they gave me back a reasonable amount of the deposit. I got exactly half of it back. I'd say we left the place in pretty good condition; they cited dog urine on the carpet as one of the main problems, but I disagree with their assessment (and that shouldn't cost as much as they claimed). I only lived there 1 year and I understand that if you live in an apartment for less than two years it's practically industry standard to keep most of the deposit.
