  I lived here for 4 years and just wanted to thank Luis and maintenance staff for their great care the past few years. They’re incredibly kind and competent. 0 stars for Brandon and current management. Pros: 10/10 Maintenance staff Quiet Situated on a wide street with bike lanes and plenty of street parking Good amount of storage at no additional cost Gated parking and assigned spots I never used the grills but I would see someone cleaning them weekly Cons: Office staff used to be prompt in responses (They used to call about maintenance requests day to follow up. Now you’re lucky if you get a response for any matter within the week.) They used to replace your lightbulbs, especially specialty ones. Now they’ll send you an amazon link of their best guess of compatible bulb. No AC and vertical window combo is killer. W/D combo unit is inefficient. Small capacity and requires 3-4 hours per load. Way too much focus on parking permit system (We have assigned spots so why is this a priority?) Noticeable increase of pests They no longer clean the common areas or windows. Pool is not heated and half shaded under other units. Bathroom walls are weirdly thin. You can hear everything from your neighbors there. Bonus: The roaches. You’ll find them all over the courtyard and even in your mailbox!

  We had an awesome tour with Shireen Baban, who was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Casa de Marina appears well cared for and managed. We were impressed with the place, and especially our tour guide.

  My wife and I wish we'd never moved in. DO NOT RENT HERE. The plumbing in the walls produce a rushing water sound so loud that it wakes us up every night. 60-70 decibels according to my meter. Requests to move to another unit have been met with mostly silence with occasional sprinklings of "We're waiting for a response from corporate.", "There's a new person in that position and they need time.", and "The person we'd talk to for this is gone this week." It's been two months since we made the request after patiently waiting to see if the problem could be fixed. I've never experienced anything like this in ~30 years of renting apartments. All we want is to live in a place where we can sleep through the night! We'd never have signed the lease if we'd known the plumbing issue existed, but it didn't occur during the tour. Constant issues with the "newly renovated" our apartment. Some examples are: - Termite droppings coming out of the outlets and cracks around the window in our toddler's room. - Window in the master bedroom leaked the first time it rained. - Heater produces enough smoke to set off the smoke detector. - Terrible sewage smell coming from a crack in the baseboard after rain. - Towel bars falling off the wall because they didn't bother to put in drywall anchors. (lol) To be fair, they've been prompt in addressing the issues aside from the plumbing, but I've put in more requests here in the first few months than I have in the last 10 years of renting at other places combined. We've been incredibly patient with the leasing office staff, but we're so tired of all of this.
