I lived there for a year. To be fair, the apartment itself is quite nice. The interior is clean, modern, and generally well maintained. This is what the 2 stars are for. However, I was rather unhappy living there for other reasons.
**Noise issues** My room was unfortunately close to the highway, and I no longer needed an alarm clock. The windows aren't that thick, so you can also hear the 1am train passing by if you are not a heavy sleeper. I assume not all units had that problem and I would recommend seeing the apartment in person before signing the lease.
**Fees** There’s all sorts of utilities that aren’t cheap. For a 2-bed apartment we got on average $200-$300 extra per month. The electric heating can also be quite expensive. We also got a big bill (>$400) for clogging the sink. If you have a tight budget, you may want to take these into account.
**Management** The management staff (Linda and others) are very polite and professional on the surface. However, my experience was that they would readily use the fine print of the lease against residents rather than helping them out. I'll just share one story.
When I just moved in, the paperwork was delayed. I submitted all materials one month earlier, but their online system got stuck. So I was not listed officially as a resident the first few days I moved in. Unfortunately, during that time, I forgot my keys one day. It was a super-hot day, and I had some frozen groceries in my hands. I was asking if I could sit in the lobby of the leasing office and use the bathroom. The staff refused saying that he cannot let me in unless their manager told them to do so. So I sat on the doorstep of the the management office for 30 minutes.
The manager came later. She knows I live there, because I was there for the paperwork just that morning, but she wouldn’t let me in unless my roommate wrote her an email to authorize me in. So I sat for another 30 minutes in the lobby. By then, all my frozen groceries melted, but I guess that's my fault for forgetting the keys.
You can say that there is no fault in how they dealt with this matter, but I've lived at other apartments and I know the difference between cold professionality and warm hospitality. I can give you many other stories. It was just emotionally taxing to constantly defend my interests. The place was not for me, so I moved out and I'm very glad I did.
Our Property Manager, Linda, is absolutely amazing!! Linda is Kind, helpful and always has a smile on her face. Edgar and Jared are fantastic. Edgar had been here the entire time and is a continuing bright star.
I feel safe living here and the amenities are top notch. Arrive Los Carneros is clean and thanks to Edgar the grounds are beautiful.
Linda is the best manager we have ever had. 5 stars is not enough.

Coming from overseas, we booked the apartment without seeing it in person, Lydia was helpful and very informative in helping us finish all the paperwork while we where in another country, when we arrive to the US and came to arrive office we met the new property manager Nirosha she was very attentive showed us the apartment and went above and beyond to make sure our move was smooth and easy, she helped us with communicate with the Electricity company, as we’re having an issue, we wouldn’t have done it without her, she is very nice and approachable, I love chatting with her. she host events every once in a while to for the community, which help getting to know our neighbors. Edgar also was very helpful, he responds very fast if anything needs adjusting or installing, he helped in installing our (shattaf) (you can google that if you don’t know it)
Now let me talk about the location, it’s close to the highway so you get to wherever you want very fast, close to UCSB, the market is nearby everything is 6-8 minutes by a car, and you can walk too, and one more thing, I found out that the Mosque is just 6 minutes away, so that was just a nice surprise as I am a Muslim I appreciate that. The apartment has top of the line appliances, designed nicely love the white kitchen counter top. It comes with nest, for the hot days and AC is a plus. Alexa and Sonos too for your relaxing time, the apartment clean and new, the neighborhood is clean. I love the place. Very nice place to live

My husband and I lived in the Los Carneros apartments for over a year and we really enjoyed it. It’s expensive, but the amenities & interiors made it worth it. We would have continued to rent there if we didn’t move out of state.
Pros:
— The interiors of the apartments are beautiful — the best I’ve seen in all of Santa Barbara and Goleta. I loved all of the design choices (great blinds, carpets, fans, fixtures, etc.)
— The kitchen appliances are top notch.
— The apartment is quiet & seems well-insulated.
— The hot tub and cabanas are seriously great and the pool area is usually empty.
— I didn’t care too much about the “high-tech” features when we signed the lease, but I grew to love the Sonos speaker and the Nest. Same for the trash pick-up service.
— Lydia (the property manager) is amazing. She is on top of things and goes above and beyond (she helped us ship boxes that were left behind by movers).
— The parking spots are spacious and covered.
— The apartment complex is clean and well maintained.
-- We had a nice view of the mountains.
-- Good storage
Cons:
— I didn’t like the washing machine. It didn’t do a great job of cleaning clothes and it was loud.
— It’s expensive, even for Santa Barbara.
— You could hear road noise from Los Carneros in our apartment (and especially on our balcony), but we lived in the worst apartment for noise (closest to the road and on the 3rd story). We got used to it after awhile and it wasn't very bothersome.
Overall, a fantastic place to live!

I have lived at Arrive at Los Caneros for over one year now. It’s everything I needed and more! It is a great place to call home and is very safe for my daughter. The amenities are wonderful and very well kept, including a great pool, hot tub and gym that we use regularly. Lydia is very efficient, knowledgeable and kind with any issues I have. Whenever I need anything she handles the situation immediately! I find Edgar to be incredibly resourceful, clean and helpful! He also, gets projects completed immediately. The environment has exceeded what we expected it to be!

There's a new manager here, Nirosha, she has been such a breath of fresh air! She is very bubbly, friendly and positive. Her upbeat personality really picks you up.
She's already hosted many resident events and keeps it interactive from game nights to wine and cheese events.
I highly recommend living at ALC, from the property to the team.. they care about your living experience and works hard to maintain it!
