As a professional who has worked with the Lewis Communities, I can say that they have been professional and courteous when I have dealt with them. I have taken the time to read through the comments and have found some of them to be a bit far fetched. I suggest anyone who is considering to view this community, to take others comments with a grain of salt. To look into some of the other comments that these individuals post and you will find that some, not all, have a tendency to write nothing but negative reviews. Remember that the person posting might be a difficult tenant. They do exist. It is not to say that the community is perfect, but they have a standard to keep and rules to adhere to set by the corporation. I have never had a client tell me that they had issues with roach infestations or have their vehicles towed. In reading, I have noticed things such as having to give a 30 day notice to move. That is customary in any leasing community. Having a vehicle towed and having been given 4 notices, I believe is more than enough notice. Space is limited for parking and needs to be managed according to the lease agreement. If you bring a vehicle and park it in your permitted spot, but the vehicle is not registered with the community, that will be an issue. In any living situation where you are a tenant, you have many rights. I believe that adequate note taking and emailing for documentation is key. Also keeping ones composure in a difficult situation is paramount. If you find yourself with issues that you feel are not being met, there is always a way of filing a formal complaint with the Corporate offices of these communities. I am not biased as I am an independent real estate agent, I always want to give the best to my clients and being forthright is of most importance to me. I hope my words are encouraging and that you give this community an opportunity and form your own opinion. Thank you for your time.
