  [UPDATE] Thank you to the management team for taking effective measures to fix the metal cover! The loud impact noise is gone, and my daily stress has been greatly reduced. I truly appreciate your prompt response to this issue. ************** I don’t live in this apartment complex, but I live in a unit facing Vallco Pkwy, directly along the path used by cars exiting this property’s parking garage. There is a metal utility/manhole cover in the driveway that makes an extremely loud CLANG/THUMP every single time a vehicle drives over it. This happens repeatedly, including at night, and the constant impact noise has seriously disrupted my sleep. It has reached the point where the sleep deprivation is affecting my ability to function at work. My apartment’s leasing office has contacted this property about the issue, and I understand that multiple residents have complained as well. Despite that, I have seen no meaningful action — not even an obvious temporary measure to reduce the noise while a permanent repair is arranged. What makes this particularly frustrating is how trivial the physical problem appears compared with the impact it is having on people living nearby. Every car leaving the garage can create another loud metallic bang, day or night. Yet those of us affected are simply expected to live with it. I normally would not leave a review for a property where I am not a resident, but after losing sleep night after night and seeing no meaningful response, I feel prospective residents should at least know about this before signing a lease. If you are considering living here, I STRONGLY recommend checking exactly where your unit is located relative to the parking garage exit and Vallco Pkwy. If you are sensitive to noise or value uninterrupted sleep, I would personally choose a unit as far away from this exit as possible. And to the property management: please fix the metal cover. Something that may seem like a minor maintenance issue to you is having a very real impact on the people who have to hear it every night.
