  I lived at Renaissance Square for 3 years and I loved it! Great clean modern building/apts, friendly and fair management, amazing and fast maintenance team, and a central location in the East Bay. If you are a good tenant, you will have no issues calling Ren square home. Thank you to Pablo in leasing and Marcos in maintenance for always being so great to work with!

  We have been living here for more than 2 years, and the new management team is much better than the old ones. They are very responsive to our concerns and acted quickly. The new maintenance team is awesome, very polite, and professional. Last week, our microwave handle broke, and they quickly replaced it with a brand-new one. When we had a water leak, they came in to fix it right away. There are occasional package theft incidents like in most apartment complexes, but they do seem to be putting effort into resolving them. We enjoyed our stay here overall and would recommend it.

  I’ve had a great experience here coming from San Francisco. I’ve had nothing but a peace of mind. The Staff n Maintenance have been incredible. You must understand them to know them. Very hands on n get things done in a timely manner. We all are going through something n we all need to work together! Thanks Mrs. Michelle n Mr. Pablo

  It’s 12:30am on a Tuesday night and the fire alarm just went off. It only went for a couple minutes, which is rare. (For about a year, it was so common, I’d just set a timer for 10 or 15 minutes to get up and evacuate if the alarm were still going off after that.) I actually thought the problem had been fixed, but it went off last night at 11:50pm for probably at least 10 minutes. Then it went off at least 4 times this morning starting around 6:45am (I’m not sure of the exact time, I’m sick and obviously haven’t been able to get the rest I need to get better here at Renaissance Square, so my brain’s not at it’s best.) Kinda crazy considering this is the most expensive apartment I’ve ever lived in. (Also, the only place I’ve ever lived where my packages get stolen somewhat frequently. Which is ironic because we have to pay for package lockers as one of the many fees residents are required to pay that are added on to the base rent amount.) Since I mentioned the fees, I’ve attached a screenshot of them below. There’s actually too many per month to fit in one screenshot, so the pet rent and base rent aren’t even showing lol. I’ve lived here two years and there have been 3 different management companies. The first one was by far the worst - when I moved in, almost none of my appliances worked and it took weeks and I basically had to make staying on them a second job to get my ac, washer, toilet, and fridge working. The manager back then, Julie, was the most fake and horrible person I’ve met in 18 years of renting, it was impossible to get anyone on the phone, and they didn’t maintain the elevators and whatever government agency oversees that quite literally shut off both elevators for about 2 weeks, and of course they lied about it. So the current and last management are better. **Oh, and as I was writing this since I couldn’t get back to sleep, the fire alarm just went off again at 1:04am. **editing to add the fire alarm went off again at 1:17am, 1:20am, 1:21am, and 1:23am. My dog is so distressed, she just hulked out and literally conquered her physical inability to leap up on the bed by herself. (This morning, after the repeated alarms going on and off, she was so upset, she wouldn’t let me leave without her trying to follow me out the door. It’s been a particularly great 26 hours here at Renaissance Square.)

  Been here for a little over 2 years and the community is on the rise. The staff and maintenance team are extremely helpful and professional. There are many issues that come with apartment life and though frustrating, the team seem to be addressing them as best they can. There have been drastic improvements in the past 6 months due to new management and the difference is night and day. As much as I get frustrated with the way some people treat the communal areas, I imagine it is less than the people fixing them. The unhoused situation is a concern but this has got notably better as well. I hope to continue to see this dedication to the property and hope that this management team is here to stay.
