I’ve been living here for about a year now, so I’ve dealt with both the previous management and the current one. Honestly, not much has improved.
The maintenance guys are great when they actually show up, but the system is a mess. You have to ask multiple times for the same thing, and scheduling is completely disorganized. Under the current management, I waited more than a month for a repair because someone said they would come back and never did. The only way things get done here is if you go in person and keep pushing.
Safety has become a serious issue. I don’t use the elevator, so I take the stairs to the garage every day, and I’ve seen some really concerning things. I’ve personally come across people sleeping there multiple times, and I have also witnessed people actively using drugs in the stairwell. I’ve reported this at least 4 times in person and nothing changes. I called security once and they told me “it’s not our working time.” At this point, I’ve realized I have to call non emergency police every time because management won’t do anything about it.
The building is also just… dirty. The stairwells are constantly full of trash, and there have been multiple instances of human waste (urine and feces). Their “solution” seems to be just throwing Clorox everywhere, which is not a reasonable way to handle this kind of issue. I’ve also seen a rat on the first floor. People leave trash and even furniture outside instead of using the dumpster, which clearly isn’t being managed. The manager says it’s better now, but it really just depends on the day you pass by the dumpsters, which means it’s still happening frequently.
There are also ongoing theft issues. Packages get stolen, and I’ve heard about items being taken from cars in the garage. I had two packages stolen in the same week and had to file a police report. Management basically said “this has been happening” and that they sent an email, but did nothing beyond that. There are cameras, but no real effort to even check them or understand what happened.
The “security” is basically a decorative car parked outside. The only times I’ve actually seen them were to kick me out of the gym right on time, and once when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and they had no idea what was going on.
Speaking of that, the fire alarm goes off all the time, including late at night. At this point, it’s honestly concerning because if there’s ever a real emergency, people might not even take it seriously. I wouldn’t be surprised if something serious happens here.
Now about the current manager… this was probably the most frustrating part. I went to talk to her about these issues (which I had already discussed with other employees before, none of whom acted like this “new manager,” as she introduced herself), and she was literally acting like a teenager, rolling her eyes while I was speaking about serious safety concerns. She mentioned having years of experience managing buildings, but based on how things are being handled, that’s really hard to believe.
A lot of the problems get blamed on the previous management, but it’s been months now and things are honestly worse. I was told they invested in new cameras and that everything would be ready around April or May. It’s already May and there’s no sign of anything changing. There are already cameras in the area where my package was stolen, but she came up with multiple excuses not to even check them, so it’s hard to understand the point of investing in more cameras. Now she says they cannot even provide a timeline, even though she previously mentioned they needed about 60 days.
At one point, I was told that residents could “move to a safer side of the building or look for another place to live.” That might be true, but it doesn’t excuse the lack of basic management, safety, and respect.
Overall, this place has been extremely frustrating to live in. I LOVE my apartment, but that’s about it. There is a clear lack of organization, accountability, and real action. I would definitely think twice before moving here.
