I would strongly caution anyone thinking about moving into Salishan Apartments. My experience here raised serious concerns about safety, management accountability, and how residents are treated when real issues come up.
During my time living there, I experienced a situation where personal property and financial information connected to my unit was compromised. Shortly after, unauthorized transactions occurred involving funds that were not used by me or anyone in my household. Based on the timing and circumstances, I have strong reason to believe this may have involved someone with access to my unit. That is extremely concerning, because residents should be able to trust that their home is a secure environment and that anyone entering—especially maintenance staff—is properly vetted and held to a high standard.
What made the situation even worse was how management handled it. Instead of taking the matter seriously and addressing the security concerns head-on, there was little urgency, very little transparency, and no real sense of accountability. When something this serious is brought to management’s attention, the expectation is that they investigate thoroughly, communicate clearly, and take steps to protect residents. That did not happen here.
Beyond that, there were ongoing issues with how management operates. Communication is inconsistent, and it often feels like residents are left in the dark unless they continuously follow up. Concerns are not handled with the level of professionalism you would expect, and there seems to be a pattern of avoiding responsibility rather than resolving problems.
There were also instances that made me feel targeted and uncomfortable as a tenant. Certain rules and enforcement actions appeared selective, which raises additional concerns about fairness and how residents are treated on a case-by-case basis. Instead of feeling like a valued tenant, I felt like I had to constantly defend myself and document everything just to protect my own rights.
Overall, my experience at Salishan Apartments left me feeling unsafe, unsupported, and frustrated. Between the serious security concerns, lack of accountability from management, poor communication, and questionable treatment of tenants, this is not a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a stable and secure living environment.
If you do decide to move here, I would strongly advise keeping detailed records, documenting everything, and being extremely cautious about your personal belongings and who has access to your unit. There are far better-managed properties out there that actually prioritize resident safety and respect.
