We have only been here for two weeks now and had multiple problems with The Summit. The handling of our lease agreement has been poor. First being the agreed upon rent price to be honored was initially around $200 cheaper; however that changed after paying our deposit. Second, the mistake of how much our total move in cost was incorrect and corrected in another email (a small mistake but a mistake none the less). Third, our apartment was not ready to be lived in on the agreed upon date as the AC was already broken on move in day. Fourth, our AC was not correctly fixed as after one day it was broken again and needed to be fixed. Fifth, we have a rat issue in our patio as there are rat droppings covering our washer and dryer. The Summit for us has consistently provided a poor service and living.

At around 2 a.m. last night, a group of people were making an outrageous amount of noise in the pool area, laughing and shouting as if no one else lived here. The volume was completely unacceptable and far beyond any reasonable or legal noise limits, especially during designated quiet hours. This kind of selfish and disrespectful behavior is absolutely infuriating. People live here to rest, not to be woken up in the middle of the night by others who clearly have no regard for basic decency. Management needs to take this seriously and enforce the rules immediately. If this continues, it reflects a complete failure to maintain a livable environment for residents.

Be very careful before paying the holding fee here. My mother and I toured the apartment on a Saturday morning, and the staff member told us that if we decided not to move forward, we would have 72 hours after the application was approved to cancel and get our holding fee refunded. Based on that, we submitted our application that same afternoon. However, they did not even start processing our application until the following Wednesday, and then spent the next few days repeatedly asking for additional information that we had already provided in the original application. They also contacted our landlord and employers and asked them to fill out forms. Both later told us the management’s attitude was rude and suspicious during these calls. When my mother's employer answered their questions (their business has been operating for over 60 years), management responded as if they didn’t believe them and said they would need to “check the business themselves.” They also repeatedly called our landlord and left multiple voicemails pushing her to complete their form. After hearing about how they treated our landlord and employer, I decided to cancel the application and asked for my holding fee back. That’s when they told me the fee was non-refundable after 72 hours from submission. During the tour we were told the 72 hours started after approval, but the document only says “non-refundable after 72 hours,” so there was nothing we could argue. I admit I should have read the document more carefully. But the process still felt misleading and unnecessarily drawn out, especially since they delayed processing the application and kept requesting information day by day. If you apply here, read every line of the paperwork and think carefully before paying the holding fee.
